There’s a steady knocking rhythm against the front door and Baekhyun knows who it is before he even opens the door.  He flings the door open with a smile.

Jongin.

Jongin with sun-kissed skin stretched over slim toned muscles, sleepy eyes that blink slowly and pouty lips that quirk at the corner into a smirk that has Baekhyun narrowing his eyes more often than not.  Jongin who is like the warmth of sunshine and the roar of the ocean waves he loves so much, hot sand stuck between your toes at you can’t get rid of no matter how long you spend standing under the spray of hot shower water.  Jongin with a sharp tongue that trails off into awkward laughter from time to time, back up against the wall and ready for a fight more times than not. Jongin with his genuine shyness that he hides behind his I-don’t-give-a--about-anything attitude, still a kid just trying to find his little corner of the world.
