Olympic Failures

Olympic Failures

"Run or you're going to get soaked!" Hanhae shrieked from underneath an empty bus stop.

"I'm the one with the food!" Mino yelled back, cowering underneath the building's safe, dry shade. The thunderstorm raged outside, elephant sized raindrops cascading down with a loud splat on the grey cement.

"And we're going to my apartment. Come on!" Hanhae jumped up and down impatiently and Mino sighed. It was like dating a sugarhigh five year old. Life was never boring when Hanhae was around.

"Well here I go." Mino sprinted down the sidewalk, quickly getting soaked as he ran against the wind, rain smashing into his face and making loud steps with his old blue rain boots. He was almost at the bus stop before he face-planted with a loud smack, grocery bag falling in front of him. Mino sighed, picking himself up along with his groceries as Hanhae laughed hysterically, pointing at his soaking wet boyfriend.

"That was gold! Pure gold! Gold medal for you!" Hanhae squeaked out between laughs and desperate gasps for air, flailing his arms. When Hanhae started laughing it was like a combination of a seizure and a heart attack, and was even harder to explain.

"You are ridiculous. Now where do we go next with protection for the rain?" Mino grumbled, searching for somewhere dry. Hanhae rested his head on Mino's shoulder and Mino's bad mood immediately evaporated, a small smile spreading on his face. Hanhae had that effect on him, his happiness was contagious.

"How about that tree?" Hanhae suggested, pointing to a large, old maple tree with ample shade. Mino nodded and on the count of three the young couple sprinted towards the shady tree.

Hanhae ran in front, eager to be out of the rain. He grinned as he ran forward, only to slip through a mudpile and slam into the tree, all the rain falling on his face, soaking him thoroughly.

"Now that deserves a gold medal." Mino chuckled, standing over Hanhae. Hanhae pouted sadly, and Mino couldn't help but smile, his boyfriend was ridiculously cute. He bent down, lending a hand to the muddy boy beneath him.

"Thanks. There goes my dignity." Hanhae rolled his eyes and laughed, scratching the back of his head with his less muddy hand.

"You never had any dignity." Mino teased, poking Hanhae's face. Hanhae frowned and tackled Mino, rubbing mud into the younger's hair. Mino squeaked, making an unusually high pitched sound in protest, but was eventually mudified completely. Hanhae smiled smugly and gave Mino a clap on the back.

"Now that I look as disgusting as you do, where to next?" Mino sighed, trying to shake excess mud out of his black hair, but to no avail.

"Let's go!" Hanhae smiled like a little kid, dragging Mino out into the precipitation haphazardly, trying to 'dodge' the rain. Unfortunately, none of the raindrops were dodged, and the boyfriends almost ran into another tree.

"I feel soaked." Hanhae mumbled, shuffling around underneath the not-as-shady oak tree.

"That's because we are soaked." Mino sighed, looking at his very wet clothes. He opened up the grocery bag to see if any of their food was spared, but alas, it was almost as drenched as the two males were.

"Remember when we said we would stay dry?" Hanhae burst out laughing and Mino couldn't help but laugh along, eyes closed.

"Let's just try to get home without you breaking your face." Mino teased and Hanhae rolled his eyes again, sticking out his tongue.

"I'm not that klutzy." Hanhae slapped Mino's shoulder playfully.

"But you're close. And I do like your face, I wouldn't want you to mess it up." Mino ruffled Hanhae's hair and the older slapped him again, across the neck this time, patting his hair down with the other hand.

"Let's go before the Olympics are over. That's what we went out for in the first place." Hanhae could see his apartment from the small hill they were on and smiled happily. The two ran down the grassy hill, hand in hand, using the bag of groceries and Hanhae's arm in a vain attempt to "block out" the rain.

"Will they even let us in there? We're practically drowned on land." Mino sighed, shaking the water off his shoulders.

"THEY SHALL NOT STOP US FROM THE OLYMPICS! I WILL NOT STAND AGAINST THIS INJUSTICE!" Hanhae roared, arms in the air.

"I was kidding. Let's roll." Mino opened the door for the two of them. "You may enter first, my fair lady." Mino chuckled, a grin plastered on his face.

"All relationships need a bo-mpf!" Hanhae was muffled by Mino's hand over his mouth.

"There are children here. Quiet!" Mino shushed Hanhae, gesturing to a young mother holding her young baby. She exited the building and the couple relaxed.

"Ew! Did you my hand?!" Mino looked disgusted, removing his hand. Hanhae grinned evilly, wiggling his eyebrows.

"I shall not be silenced!" Hanhae grinned wider, wiggling his eyebrows even more as the two walked up the flights of stairs, leaving a trail of rainwater and mud behind them.

"Your Kyung is showing again." Mino rolled his eyes as the two walked up to Hanhae's door to the apartment. Hanhae acted surprised and did a fake gasp, covering his mouth with his hands.

"Stupid little punk ," a very robotic voice said out loud as the two walked in. Minhyuk in horror, snatched his cursing phone from Kyung. Jihoon sprawled out laughing on the couch and Taeil stood by the kitchen, making enormous amounts of popcorn.

"I am never giving you the keys to my apartment ever again." Hanhae shook his head. Kyung smiled evilly, Minhyuk looking disapproving in the background.

"I'm not giving Kyung my phone anymore either. He only uses it for evil." Minhyuk sighed dejectedly as his phone said yet another ridiculous sentence.

"Hey babe, I know you want me. Do you want to play my apps?" The phone said seductively robotically. Minhyuk grimaced and Jihoon burst out laughing again.

"Oh dear god. Both of you need to clean up. Go take a shower." Taeil looked over the mudcovered couple.

"Together?" Hanhae raised an eyebrow and Mino burst out laughing, sounding a lot like Jihoon.

"Yukwon's girlfriend lives next door. Mino could shower there." Minhyuk ushered Mino into the other apartment.

----

"So how did you guys get covered in mud and completely soak all the food?" Kyung asked as all six of them watched ice skating.

"Oh we just made some Olympic failures." Hanhae smiled, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and laughing. Kyung rolled his eyes but smiled nonetheless at the happy couple.
