This is the story about how a seemingly normal girl who appears to be doomed by the strict rules of her family breaks off and pursues her dream of becoming a singer, and meets some friendly faces along the way. *coughEXOcough*

Your name is Haneul Park, and you are currently a senior in high school in California. You’ve listened to your parents and studied very hard to get into college, but your secret plan is to audition for a company in Korea the summer after graduation, and become a singer. You haven’t told anyone though, and don’t plan to tell anyone until you succeed. Things get a bit icky though, when you successfully get casted into SM entertainment and brush by members of EXO constantly. One member, Suho, catches your eye, and you catch his eyes as well. The thing is, your childhood friends discover what you’ve been doing in Korea, and one of them, who’s secretly had a crush on you all these years, feels betrayed when he sees what you’ve been doing with Suho.

In the meantime, you find out that your best friend Miyoung wants to meet her childhood oppa who is supposedly in the singing industry as well... and could possibly be in the same company as you!? Her description sounds awfully similar to a member of EXO... And at the same time you are trying to hide the fact that you and Suho have a thing, because if his fans found out about you, you'd be dead meat. Ahh you've got so much to juggle in your hands!!

Park Haneul [You] (I just found out that Choi Haneul is the name of the actual girl above... haha....)

I guess you could be called the innocent though secretly not innocent main character. You studied hard to please your parents your entire life, but you realized that your true dream was to become a singer. Fortunately, you get lucky and get discovered by S.M. Entertainment, where you become a trainee and work super hard in order to fulfill your goals of debuting and succeeding. You are clumsy, and a little weird, but you are sweet and caring once you get to know someone. Your high school friends, Miyoung and Joon, have been with you through all your ups and downs. You aren't exactly searching for the love of your life right now, at only 18 years old, but if you manage to catch someone, you don't mind. Of course, it ends up being the one and only leader of EXO..

Suho

As the leader of EXO, Suho must always act mature and have an aura of leadership around him. He is very caring towards s, as well as other people, even strangers. People around him say he should take more care of himself, but Suho doesn't mind. His helpful personality is what leads him to Park Haneul, and eventually he develops an attraction towards you. 

Miyoung

One of your best friends, Miyoung was part of the most prettiest girls in your school. The guys in your school even formed a fan club dedicated to her. Miyoung loves fashion and makeup, and she never fails to look nice even in her gym clothes. She helps you and gives you advice, and guides you on what to wear. When she was a child, she had a crush on an oppa that left for Korea before she could confess her love to him. Years later, Miyoung is on the hunt to find out who that oppa is, and if he will return her feelings... The thing is, that oppa is also involved in the singing industry in Korea, so you end up meeting Miyoung quite a few times.. 

Joon

As your other best friend from high school, Joon is the person you go to if you just need someone to talk to and have fun with. He is always there for you no matter what, even if he has other plans with his guy friends. Joon actually confessed to you in early high school, but even though you declined, he maintained his feelings for you throughout graduation. Of course, you don't know this, and mistake his loveydoveyness for mere friendliness. He ends up living and working in Korea after graduation, and you are contantly trying to avoid him because you don't want him to find out about your secret dream. When Joon discovers exactly what you have been up to behind his back, he feels betrayed and decides to win you back...

Subin (I know she's a bit older but I just really like Go Jun Hee.. she's so pretty~)

As your fellow roommate and trainee, Subin has been a trainee at SM since she was 18. She is 19, a year older than you, and loves to dance. She has a model figure at 170 cm, and loves to eat just like you. Subin is the perfect friend: kind, warm-hearted, and outgoing. You and Subin instantly become best friends because of your similar backgrounds, and you guys hang out together all the time during your trainee period. She will most likely debut in the same group as you once your guises trainee years are over..
