Daehyun and Jongup didn't know each other very well. They would hang out though because their moms knew each other pretty well. They went to each others house ever since they were ten. Now they're in highschool. Never talk to each other but one would say hi every now and then.

Daehyun was a popular kid and Jongup had his friends. Jongup's friends knew he had a crush on Daehyun. Daehyun's friends knew nothing. He was gay and that was all they knew.
