This is my entry for ♔Beast Within Me♚ Taming The Beast - A Writing/Graphic Competition!

As soon as Kris opened the door, he found himself with a hyper excited panda clinging to him. "Kriiiiiiiiiiiiiiis!" Tao squealed. "Hey baby!" Kris chuckled as he wrapped his arms around his panda. "I missed you soooo much," Tao exclaimed with a pout. "Missed you too Taozi, but what did I tell you about jumping around?" said Kris as he sat on the couch with Tao on his lap. Tao's eyes widened as he realised what his hubby meant, "Oops!" he exclaimed, "Sorry baby! Umma didn't jolt you too much?!" Tao said rubbing his baby bump with worry. "Don't worry Taozi, our baby is strong. But still, be careful. Ok?!" Kris said putting his hand on Tao's hand that was on his belly, caressing their baby together.

They were still on the couch, cuddling when a loud painful howl was heard in the night. Tao immediately bolted up, gasping, "My baby!" he whispered under his breath, eyes wide in panic. Kris was confused at the worried expression on Tao's face. Tao ran out, changing to his wolf form as soon as he got out of the door. Kris also changed to his wolf form to run after his mate.
