Myungsoo comes from a rich aristocratic family while Sungyeol is a poor boy who struggle to get by. Myungsoo's father forbid their friendship and tried to keep Sungyeol away. Myungsoo grows up thinking Sungyeol had moved to another town and left him alone grows to be a bitter and resentful young Town Master who rarely appears in the daylight, and mostly lock himself in his own manor. 

But what Myungsoo didn't know is that Sungyeol have been watching over him all along.
