War

Dishonour

For the last 2 years China had been at war with the Huns. An outside army content to overthrow the current Emperor Kim Joon Myun. The Kim family has served as China's rulers for Generations and Generations. The youngest to ever lead China was Joonmyun himself. Although young he ruled with born an iron fist as well as a soft heart. With danger rising in all of China's province's Emperor Kim was forced to train your everday civilian to serve in the war. With the war raging on and the Hun army growing stronger by the day Emperor Kim was forced to recruit the eldest daughter of every family to serve as spies. The last thing the Hun army would suspect would be a group of young women to defend China.

Sighing Emperor Kim shoved a hand through his hair pushing his brown locks out of his face.

"Yixing... i don't know what to do. I hate to think i'm taking these young girls from their families to serve a losing battle for me."

A dimple cheeked advisor smiled. "Emperor Kim..." he begun.

"Please Yixing... it's Suho." He chided. Aware that Yixing prefered formal speech with the Emperor.

Smiling again Yixing continued "Suho, i am sure these young girls are more than willing to serve China. And in that regards you. You should hear how the maids talk of your handsome appearance."

Suho could feel the heat rise to his face. He was well aware of the talk that happened around the palace. At a young age he was always told how dashing he looked. Glancing over at his advisor he couldn't help but wonder if the one person he actually cared about listening to thought he looked handsome as well. Sighing again he resisted the urge to run his thumb over the deep dimples his advisor and childhood friend possessed.

"Suho.... your father would be very proud of you. We will win this war, i put my faith in you. You will lead China. We all trust in you."

"Have the letters sent out to the furthest Provinces of China. Contact General Oh Sehun. I have a feeling he will be perfect for the job. And Yixing... bring me some wine." Suho breathed out.

Bowing to the Emperor Yixing left his throne room to carry out his commands, but not before sending a quick prayer. 'Please ancestors... look after Suho, and China. Please send us warriors.'

In a local Village....

"Lulu!!!!"

Luhan swiveled around just in time to catch his younger sister, spinning her around in his arms before settling her down on the dusty ground in their courtyard.

"How many times have i told you Xi. My name is Luhan. Not Lulu. Lulu sounds too girly and we both know how manly i am."

Xi burst out laughing clutching her stomach. "Whatever Lu."

Luhan smiled at his Sister as he watched he limp away. The smile replaced by a sad expression.

10 years ago

"Luuuuuuluuuuuu" a young girl screeched as she chased after her brother. A much younger Xi and Luhan raced across the fields their father harvested. A 8 year old Luhan smiled over his shoulder as a 6 year old Xi ran on her stubbly legs trying to keep up with her brother. Ever since Xi had been born Luhan had been the perfect older brother. Not minding when she tagged along with his friends or even when she insisted on those dreadful tea parties that he had to attend with Mr Snugglebuns and Mrs Fluffboots. Turning back around Luhan hid behind a certain bigger stalk so as to scare Xi as she came by. Before he even had the chance, he heard a cry that echoed across the whole field.

Racing back he saw Xi nowhere in sight.

"Xi!!!!" he cried. With no reply he cried again "Xi!!!" In tears Luhan ran back to the house to find his parents. In hysterics he explained that he lost Xi and he heard her cry. In a rush his parents left to search for her as Luhan cried himself to sleep .

Later that night when Luhan woke up he saw numerous doctors talking with his parents. In their conversations he heard 'pit', 'fell', 'damaged', 'won't walk normally.'

At 8 years of age, Luhan vowed to protect his sister. Blaming himself for not seeing the pit that had been dug out. He would be Xi's legs. He would protect her. And he would never  let anything else happen to her.

``````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
A trumpet sounded through out the Valley. The distinct sound representing Royal affairs and all were to be present. Walking to the public square Luhan held Xi's hand.   As the scroll was read out Luhan's heart broke with every fesh wave of sentances. The eldest daughter in every family has been chosen to form a new group of spies to serve China. Xi clenched Luhan's hand. If Xi were to head off to war she would die very quickly. She couldn't go. She could barely walk.
As Xi's name was called up Luhan felt her hand slip from his. Xi bravely walking towards the soldiers and talking the parchment with her enrollment on it.
"Wait!!!! I'm sorry she can't go." Luhan cried rushing up to the guards.
"Silence boy." One of the guards yelled.
"But she's injured. She cannot represent China. Please look for someone else." He begged clinging to their arms.
The guard pushed Luhan to the ground. " She must go! Learn your place boy!" He spat.
Fighting back tears he slowly back tracked to an already crying Xi. They both knew her fate if she was to join battle. And Luhan vowed to himself in that moment that he would be the one to take her place, no matter what he had to do.
Xi was to report to the training facility on the other side of the nation for training. Preparing her satchel for the ride tomorrow Luhan looked on solemly.
"Xi, You can't..." Luhan began.
"I must." She replied curtly. "It is my duty.... to China, and to our parents."
Luhan glanced at their picture on her bedside table. The worn out film their last memory of their parents as the harsh Winter took both their souls 2 years ago. Ever since, Luhan had been proving himself a suitable enough Guardian for himself and Xi so that they couldn't be taken away to an orphanage. Life had not been easy for the two of them but at the moment, Luhan was scared in losing the only thing he had left to live for. Sighing he left Xi to her packing. If convincing her wasn't enough,he had to leave before she did.
As sleep took Xi, Luhan was wide awake. Taking all that Xi had packed he chose one of her simpler garments. Being the one to dress Xi many times without their Mother's aid Luhan shuffled into a plain green dress. Embarassed as he did so he put  a simple clip into his hair. He really did look like a young girl. Perhaps the guards would think he was a tom boy. Placing one last kiss on Xi's forehead he left a note by her table. Glancing one last time at her sleeping form he kneeled at their ancestors graves as he prayed.
'Please ancestors. Look after Xi. I promise to bring honour to our family name. I will defend the Fa family and i will fully fulfil my vow to look after Xi.' Lifting his head he lit some incense fully prepared to face whatever consequences awaited him. Riding off on their faithful steed, Luhan braced himself for what awaited him at the camp he was to spend the next couple of months preparing for battle.
`````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

Xi woke up with a jolt. A shiver running throughout her body. She couldn't help but think something bad had happened. Looking to her left she froze.... all her bags were gone. Ripping the piece of paper off her table her eyes greedily scanned the page. Tears filling her eyes with every writeen word.

'Dear Xi,

By the time you read this i will have already have left for the camp. Please stay at home, Mrs Han from next door promised me she would keep an eye on you while i am away. I know it's a strange turn of events but i plan on taking your place. I remember how much it infuriated me that you said i had a girly face and body. But this time i think i might use this to my advantage. Never forget i love you Xi.

Your older brother forever Lulu'

Clutching the letter to her chest she sighed. "Please ancestors... look after my Lulu. Bring him home. And please... please... don't let anyone find out. They will execute him."

```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````
"YIFAN!! How many times have i told you! All you have to do is.."
"Ring the gong," Yifan finished.
He huffed gathering the gong. "Wakey Wakey you oldies. GET YO ASSES UP. I AIN'T GOT NO TIME FOR YO TODAY!"
As their souls left the tomb stones Yifan couldn't help but pout in the corner. Ever since he messed up 1000 years ago the ancestors had been really y about everything he did. Being demoted from Family protector really grated his scales.
The eldest Fa was Fa Bao. Being 1500 years old he certainly had an attitude that went along with. Yifan had know him for way to long they both would say. With all the souls present and awake the family meeting began. Bao began.
"I think we are all aware of what happened this morning with the 2nd youngers Fa child. the reason in had dip Yifan call you all here today was i am concerned for the family name."
"I say we disown him" One yelled out.
"We're dead you idiot we can't do anything," Another yelled out.
"Send one of the family protectors to go after him." Was the last suggestion. As the bickering slowed they all came to the same conclusion. If they were to have a protector bring back Luhan, they could protect the family name and no one would be the wiser.
"Yifan!!!" Bao yelled out for a second time.
"Yes" Yifan replied sweetly as he rolled his eyes.
"Awaken the great dragon. He will retrive Luhan."
Dragging his gong behind himself he walked to the secluded part of the courtyard where the dragon tombstone stood in all it's glory.
BANG BANG.
"Wake up you er.I don't have time for this. I have a game of poker to play with the other protectors." Yifan grumbled. After several attempts to wake the stone dragon Yifan resorted to smacking the stone head with his gond.
"Wakeeee" he huffed "upppp" as he launched another attack on the dragons head. A small crack was heard "Oh ." A certain dragon breathed as the monument crumbled.
" , what do i tell the ancestors!!!" He wheezed. If the ancestors found out he had virtually kiled their greatest dragon they would wring his immortal neck.
"YiFAN! HAVE YOU AWOKEN HIM.?" Bao called.
Panic raced through Yifan's veins as the adrenaline coursed through his systems. Scrambling to fix the statue but to no avail he yelled in reply. "The dragon has already left. You just missed him. He will bring Luhan back!"
The ancestors cheered. If only then knew that the Fa family had been left in the hands of a very cynical Dragon.
````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````

Yifan huffed as he leant his head in his hands. Sighing he looked to the rumble on his right. What was he going to do now? A small giggle erupted behind him. Whirling around he was met with a minature Panda. "Who the are you?" A grumpy Yifan questioned? All the while smiling the Panda replied "I want to help you."

With a questioning look on his face Yifan asked "And how are you going to help me Panda?"

"You may call me Tao, Dragon. I couldn't help but see the problem you have created for yourself. I am willing to help. As you can see i am small and won't take up much space. We will go to Luhan and help him."

Yifan spluttered " Help him??? The ancestors want to bring him back"

"Exactly" Tao breathed. "If we help Luhan, honour will be given to the Fa's, you will regain your position and i will be given all the bamboo in all of China." He shrugged.

Laughing to himself Yifan knew that the Panda had alterior motives. He just wanted Bamboo. "And why should i take you up on your offer?" He questioned?

"Do you even know the way to the camp?' Tao chuckled.

"."

And so a bitter dragon began his journey with a smiley Panda to save Luhan and thus China.

a/n: Hellllo my lovelies. How did i do? Was the first chapter okay? If you've seen Mulan you can probably guess when the story is headed. As you've noticed there are a lot of differences though between the movie and the story. It was just easier to flow this way. I don't know about you but i can definetly see Suho as an Emperor. What do you think of the characters themselves? The rest of Exo will be met in the next chappie and we can finally meet Sehun :)

Also Exo related... does anyone know if Exo is going to do a Hello Baby? Was this confirmed or is it too many fangirls & fanboys hoping????

Bye my gorgeous ones!!!!! I WUVVV CHOOOO
