Ending Author's Note
UnintendedAUTHOR’S NOTE
I can't believe it that I actually finished this story.
First of all, I want to thank all my readers. This story is made for you guys because without you guys, I think I would never be able to finish it. You guys is another my major motivation (beside Kris himself) to write more and more. I know that some of you strictly hate Soojin and for many reasons wished for a plot twist where the wallflower comes out as the winner in this story. I need to apologize to you guys because I cannot give you such ending.
There are three things I want to tell you through this story. First, through Soorin I want to deliver message to you, something I learned by myself through my personal experience;
“When you too focus on chasing someone in front of you, you will never be able to see the person who has always been beside you all this time.”
I believe now some of you are screaming something like “Hey, Soojin did too! She was so blinded with her undying love to Kris until she couldn’t see Chanyeol”. Well, the argument for your accusation is the second thing I want to emphasize throughout this story.
“There is a very very thin line, sometimes nearly invisible, between love and obsession.”
This makes Sehun different from Chanyeol. I’m fully aware that the two characters are the people who have always been beside both Soojin and Soorin, and both of them doing it basically because Sehun loves Soorin and Chanyeol loves Soojin but only Sehun can keep his love pure, caring, supportive, and giving. His love for Soorin has no limits or boundaries, and there is complete freedom.
On the other hand, Chanyeol’s love is tainted and shrouded by jealousy. When he sees Kris step into the picture, he starts to feel insecure and his insecurity leads him to commit a biggest mistake. He is being obsessive toward Soojin. His love is no longer innocent and sincere.
What I want to say here is there’s no way obsession can win over love. When Kris found out that Soojin is still alive for the first time, you could see how determinant he was to win her back. At that point, he was being obsessive over her but his love for Soojin overcomes his selfishness, his blindness, and his obsession. He learns to understand her and respect her decision.
Love, learn, respect, understand, and let go. Those are the things that Chanyeol doesn’t have but Sehun and Kris do. Well, he does eventually but I have to say that it’s too late and it is not the important point here. I have never planned to make Soojin and
