Well I don't normally read hojong but this fic just blow me out of the water. The idea of this au is brilliant and even though I've read a few gladiator-inspired fics before, this one still leaves me the biggest impact. The way you built the plot, choosing your words are amazing. What I like the most is the contrast between howon-hojong's scenes and woohyun-sunggyu's scenes. It emphasizes the pain even more. I'm glad that they all have happy ending even though I feel like I'm still not sure if I get the ending, like, when Jaeho killed the Patrician, how did they get out of that mess when apparently the Chief of Legion and his men were outside banging at the door? And did the fighters rebel or..? O.o well it's just my curiousity speaking haha. Thank you for writing this amazing piece. It's beautifully written. I'll remember this for a long time for sure!
