The evening air stabbed at him through his thin clothes, almost threatening to push him over itself rather than to wait for him to do the deed long since planned. No one saw him from below, twenty-nine stories of ignorance separating him from torture and sweet reprieve. 

He steped up onto the ledge, black and white tennis shoes peeking over at the congested streets. Before he knew it he as diving.

Deeper.

The wind picked up, almost as if trying to catch him, unlike before. As if it regretting tipping him over.

Deeper.

He felt relaxed. It was almost over. Soon, he'd be free.

He smiled.
