“Hey, where’s Ryeowook?”

Kangin asked as everyone settled down in the huge dining room. There was one seat unoccupied and Kangin immediately noticed that his eternal magnae was the one missing. Everyone looked around and Heechul was the first to get up and told the other members that he’d go call Ryeowook. Heechul started heading up towards Ryeowook’s and Donghae’s room. He knocked twice before entering, deciding that he was Kim Heechul and he didn’t wait for permission to enter someone’s room.

“Yah, dinner’s ready!” Heechul shouted.

Ryeowook was all curled up in his blanket and facing the other side of the room. Heechul shouted a bit louder but the eternal magnae was still unresponsive. Heechul sighed as he walked over to Ryeowook’s bed and started pulling off the blanket and shaking the boy’s shoulder.

“Yah Wookie!” Heechul yelled but paused. “Yah, why are you sweating so much?”

Heechul wiped off the sweat on his pants and went to the other side of the bed and check on Ryeowook closer. Ryeowook was perspiring so badly that his red tshirt was soaked. He was shivering slightly too and he had his eyes shut so tightly that it looked like he looked he was faking it. Heechul shook Ryeowook’s shoulder again and finally the other slowly opened his eyes. His eyes were bloodshot red as he groaned.

“Wookie, are you okay?” Heechul asked holding his forehead with the back of his hands. “Yah! You’re burning up!”

“I don’t feel good, hyung.” Ryeowook croaked.

Heechul nodded. “I think you’re having a fever, Wookie ah. Hold on, I’ll get you some aspirin alright?”

Ryeowook shook his head quickly just as Heechul was about to stand out to get out of the room. He pulled Heechul and stared into Heechul’s eyes. Ryeowook’s eyes were so wide and red, Heechul backed away a few steps, shocked from how scary his dongsaeng looked.

“Don’t leave me alone, hyung.” Ryeowook whispered. “Don’t go.”

“I’m just going to get some aspirin and water for you, Wookie.” Heechul said, combing back Ryeowook’s fringe. “Come on, it’s only for awhile.”

Ryeowook shook his head frantically but Heechul tapped Ryeowook’s cheeks. “I’ll be right back okay?”

Ryeowook’s hands were gripping Heechul’s arms that he had to slowly pry one finger at a time. Why was Ryeowook suddenly acting like this? He was acting so… Scared for not reason. Maybe it was just because of his fever. Ryeowook rarely got sick and maybe that was why he was acting so different. The other members who have already started eating looked up to Heechul with a confused face when they didn’t see Ryeowook behind him.

“I’m getting some aspirin for Wookie.” Heechul told them. “Wookie’s having a-”

On instinct, all the members starting running towards the scream coming from Ryeowook’s room. The scream sounded so painful and torturous and it was so sharp since it was from Ryeowook’s high voice.
