`introduction:

so welcome to this little contest, a contest which is based off my favorite exo/infinite members and one of our favorite pairings, and since this pairing isn't written much or even seen that often, i decided to host a little contest for you all so that i can read some awesome stories about them. and just like any contest, i wanted to make sure that you guys have the chance to be rewarded for writing my favorite pairings, so i hope you guys are interested in this and i wish you guys good luck.

`rules:

one. subscribe to this thread so you can catch updates and entries from participants as the contest is going on.

two. link back to this contest in your foreword. if you can, promote this contest as well, especially since the prizes are awesome and for this contest to work out, i want at least 20 entries. so tell your friends and get them in on this too. 

three. a story must be at least 5000 words, but has no maximum word count. you have until august 20, 2014 to get an entry in. that is plenty of time to write 5000 words, especially since there are some nice prizes for this and i want to read some longer stories for our favorite otp. (multi-chaptered fics are great, but oneshots, as long as they're 5000 words are awesome too.) 

four. your story must be about yixing/myungsoo (either friendship or romantic relationship), however any genre you want to write about is fine. (if you end up writing their relationship as friendship, then you can have oc's if you want to have some romance in there. but the story must focus on the boys' friendship rather than their relationship with their girlfriends/soon-to-be-girlfriends.) there will be prompts in the first chapter that you can use for inspiration, but you do not need to use them if you don't want to. 

five. you cannot have a coauthor, but i advise you to have your story at least be spell checked before the deadline. the site has a free spell checker that might not be as good as say microsoft word, but it should help you find misspellings at the very least. if english is not your first language, tell us so i know and don't ding you any for not having perfect english. (even if it's your first, grammar/spelling is secondary to your characters, plot, and writing style.)

six. can be in the story, but it must be tastefully done and used to enhance plot, so no pwp's please. (i also encourage you guys to be realistic if you are writing , so i don't want to see any tropes going on. and for those that don't know what tropes are, it's where one person is usually characterized as more feminine than the other and usually is the bottom in the relationship while the other is more manly and seen as the top. i don't mind who's going to bottom, but if i see you guys trying to use those tropes like that, i won't like it much.)

`judging criteria:

your stories will be judged by plot, character development, pacing, and writing style, rather than how well you know your grammar. i want to be able to enjoy your stories and see what you guys are writing about rather than focusing on how well you know which commas need to be placed where. nobody really writes crack pairings, especially exo/infinite stories with myungsoo/yixing as the main pairing, and i want to be able to enjoy your stories and have you impress us with what you're writing. angst is good and all, but cute, fluffy stories have a place too, so don't think angsty stories automatically have a better chance at winning. 

`prizes: 

first place: choice of either 2 infinite/exo albums of your choice up to 40$ (exo/infinite) (note: albums do not have to be exo or infinite, but they have to have at least one of the members singing on said album. so if you're a fan of su!fbb and want the ost, you can pick that album out instead. if you like sm the ballad's new album because jongdae is singing on it, then that one can be subbed for the infinite or exo album as well.)

second place: 400 karma points

third place: 200 karma points
