The snowy night

Description

Minhyuk checked his phone every few minutes sighing deeply as no text notifications appeared. He waited in the freezing cold for his manager to pick him up from the private recording studio where he was recording his solo album. “He said he’d be here at ten…...ugh he hasn’t even texted me yet.” He sighed in impatience. “I’ll just walk back to the dorm.” He began walking through the thick white snow that frosted the dark streets of Chang-Nyeong. There were only a few people here and there since it was late at night so he didn’t have to worry about fans chasing him around. He took off his sunglasses and mask and took in a deep breath of the fresh icy air. The walk to the dorm soon began to feel like a walk up mount everest, his feet and hands were burning from the harsh cold and he could hardly step through the tall piles of snow that were packed along the streets. He looked around for a cafe or some sort of restaurant near by where he could go inside and buy a hot drink. A few minutes after looking around like a lost puppy he found a small cafe named “Caca Cocoa”. Minhyuk walked inside and smiled at the burst of warm coffee scented air that brushed against his face. He ordered his drink and sat in a table waiting for it to be ready. “You finally answered my call! Do you know what time it is?” he said to his manager on the phone, “You were suppose to pick me up an hour ago, where are you?” “I’ll be there in 15 minutes maximum.” Manager Subin replied. Minhyuk put his phone in his pocket and sighed deeply. Suddenly, a beautiful young girl dressed in a white laced shirt and a black skirt walked up to his table. This girl was a waitress who worked extra late hours at the cafe earning money for school. She placed a steaming hot cup of black coffee in front of minhyuk. “Would you like anything else?” She asked shyly. As minhyuk looked up to reply he found himself caught in her striking clear blue eyes. Her smooth light colored hair complimented her gorgeous skin tone and face shape. She looked so perfect, so beautiful, as if she were an angel who just fell from above. Minhyuk tried to speak, but his mouth felt dry and prickly as if it were stuffed with the finest cotton.“Uh uh i-” He stuttered. “Excuse me?” She asked, slightly confused as to why this man was staring at her so strangely. Do i have something on my face? she thought. The girl stood there for a few more seconds as the man stuttered and stared; she then began to walk away to serve another customer who was waiting. “Sorry i have to go assist someone right now.” She said to the man. As she started to walk away minhyuk grabbed a hold of her wrist. His outburst made her jump with fear. “W-What are you doing?..Let go!” The girl asked him. Minhyuk clutched her wrist tighter and stood up from his seat in front of her, “Please, just tell me your name.” He whispered. Both bewildered and afraid, the girl told him her name. “Uhh my name is Mai..” Minhyuk smiled widely at her sweet sounding name. He grabbed her other hand and pulled her close to him. “My name is Minhyuk. Nice to meet you.” He bent down and kissed the back of her hand. Mai stiffened up and gasped at his sudden actions. His name..his face..his voice...they all seemed so familiar…...she had seen this man before….but where? Minhyuk got up and sat back down on the table pulling Mai along with him. Both of them sat face to face, time seemed to stop as they stared at each other. “Do you know who i am?” he chuckled. “Yes um wait no um i don’t know actually but you look so familiar…” She thought hard, trying to remember where she had seen this man named Minhyuk. “I’m Lee Minhyuk, Lee Minhyuk from Born To Beat.” He grinned from ear to ear as he saw the priceless expression on the face of the female in front of him. Mai’s face turned red and her head raced, OMFG OMFG OMFG NO ING WAY OHMYGOD OHMHOFD MINHYUK FROM BTOB JUST KISSED MY HAND HOLY AND HE’S SITTING RIGHT INFRONT OF ME HOOLY HOLY WHAT DO I DO .

She was about to ask for an autograph when Minhyuk handed her a napkin with something written on it. He stood up and walked towards the door, leaving Mai behind. He turned around and smiled brightly at  through the window of the cafe before getting inside a black van and disappearing into the snowy night. “Did this just really happen?” She asked herself. Mai looked down at the folded napkin that Minhyuk gave to her before leaving. She opened it carefully, only to be shocked at what was written in it.

She gasped and clutched the napkin to her chest. “MAI! WHERE ARE YOU!? THE CUSTOMER WAS SUPPOSE TO GET HIS DRINK 15 MINUTES AGO!” The boss yelled out across the cafe. “I’ll be right there!” She yelled back. Mai stuffed the napkin in her pocket and skipped happily to serve the customer~
