PROLOGUE

“A slice here, a slash there.”

A hooded person was meticulously running an absurdly sharp nice knife across the body of an unknown man. The person smiles like a mother making dinner for her children.

“There, all done!” the person smiles even brighter. “I hope this will make you come back now.”

With surprising strength, the person carries the body on its right shoulder, splattering its already bloody clothes with more crimson liquid.

“I should hang this somewhere she would easily see it. Hmmmm, I think the park would do nicely.”

The person made its way to a vehicle and placed the body inside the trunk. The person then took a drive towards the nearby park.

The sun shined through the steel-barred windows, directly on the eyes of a certain Kim Taeyeon.

She groggily made her way out of bed and into the bathroom to fix herself.

While eating breakfast, her house phone suddenly rang. She checked the caller ID and saw a number she was quite unfamiliar with.

"Hello? Is this Miss Kim Taeyeon?" a woman said on the other line.

"Yes, this is her. May I know who's speaking?" answered Taeyeon.

"Good morning Miss Kim, I am Chief Lee Sooman of the South Korea Police Department. We'd like to have a word with you. Would it be alright for you to come to the station?"

The police? But I haven't done anything wrong. Lately. I think. Taeyeon was panicking yet was also feeling a bit excited.

"Ma'am? If it's a bother I could have one of our officers come to your house."

"No, no it's alright. I'll be there in an hour."

"Thank you ma'am."

Taeyeon sighed as she hung up her phone. What could it be that the police personally called her? In any case, Taeyeon figured she should hurry. If she was indeed in trouble with the law, she didn't want to give them any reason to make her punishment, if she did do something bad, any more severe than it should be.
