Dieting
The (Sort Of) Kpop Guide To LifeSo you want to lose weight?
Me too.
Over the past few months, I've learned a few things about dieting, exercise, health, and overall just trying to achieve that perfect body.
In this chapter, we're going to talk about
DIETING.
I've started diets.
I've failed diets.
I've cried over diets.
After torturing my body through diet after diet, trying and failing what felt like thousands of them,
I finally realized something.
Something important.
Diets do not work.
Would you like to know why?
Because they're diets.
They weren't created to be followed for your entire life.
They were created so a person could easily drop weight in a certain time period, but as soon as you step off, all that weight would come crashing back
and you would have to start all over again.
Since I hate following th rules in any situation, so why would diets be any different?
I really hate the word diet now.
Diets just made me really unhappy.
They were taking the foods that I had eaten my whole life, the ones I was used to eating, and forcing me to just cut them out of my life cold turkey.
Now I don't know about you guys, but I can't do that.
My self-control is, to put it bluntly, extremely ty.
I'll walk past a box of donuts and take two for myself.
I'll stop off for fast food at least once or twice per week.
I'll buy a pack or two of two little zebra cakes (basically twinkies) at lunch.
I fail diets so often that it doesn't really make me upset anymore.
So yeah, they just don't work for me.
Which is why I've decided to take control of my unhealthy eating habits
in my own way.
I won't completely demolish any hope for ever eating any type of sugary, fatty, salty, or generally unhealthy food ever again.
I won't starve myself out of eating so I can drop a few measley pounds.
I won't excessively exercise six days per week (what teenager even has time for that??).
I won't ever diet again.
Instead, I'm going to live a healthy life by making my own health pyramid.
1. More activity
2. Less unhealthy food
3. More fruits and vegetables
(this next one is the hardest)
5. Less sitting around watching anime and kpop videos
Keep these tips in mind for when you decide to start living a healthier life:
-Always surround yourself with positive people!
-Don't let anybody control your life!
-Never think, "Just one couldn't hurt" when it comes to fighting temptations!
-Commit to it!
Finally, remember to never doubt yourself because...
You are beautiful just the way you are!
Never stop fighting! It's your life and it's time to take charge!
