Tiffany: What's up?

Yuri: Okay!

Sunny: What's this about?

Taeyeon: I'm talking to YOU IM YOONA!

Sooyoung: Hey what's happening?

Hyoyeon: Will be a bit late, still out on the yacht at that time.

Yoona: Huh?! What did I do?!

Jessica: Uh, what's happening here? I wanna get to bed...

Seohyun: Unnie, that's way past midnight...

Taeyeon: Maknae, there are more important matters than your skin cells tonight! Get your butts over there or else...!?!?!?

Everybody: ok...

Taeyeon sat nervously on the couch, tapping her  slippered feet on the floor. The news she'd gotten from the manager was so big, she knew she had to handle it herself as the group's leader.

She was already feeling tired from the night's activities, but a lot of stuff had to be settled before the sun rose up.

"Happy new year eonnie!" Seohyun called out brightly as she entered the dorm. "Where's everybody?" she asked as she settled herself comfortably beside Taeyeon.

"We're here! Just getting some food ready," Sooyoung greeted from the kitchen. She came out with a plate loaded with sliced fruits and a box of chocolates, followed by Sunny carrying two large bottles of champagne, and finally Yuri and Tiffany carrying trays with wine glasses.

"Are we celebrating something?" Seohyun asked excitedly, clapping her hands before reaching out for a glass.

"Great, I could use one of that. The bottle, I mean," Jessica droned as she walked out of her bedroom in her pajamas, a beauty mask on her face.

"It's a new year maknae, of course we have to celebrate," Tiffany said with a wink as she took a sip.

"Ola señoritas, lemme have one," Hyoyeon called out from the doorway. She danced her way towards them, grooving like a latin ballroom dancer. The girls laughed as they always do at her antics.

"Great! Now we just need to wait for-"

"I'm here! Sorry, had to wrap up a scene, am I too late?!" Yoona called out, panting as she dropped her bags and coat on the foyer.

"Finally! Settle down, girls," Taeyeon ordered. The girls noticed her no-nonsense demeanor and settled in their seats, all of them facing her and holding a glass each. Sunny continued pouring.

Taeyeon stood up, took a sip of champagne, a deep breathe, and started off her speech somberly.

"It's finally happened, girls. Dispatch has caught one of us."

Silence filled the room for a full twenty seconds. Taeyeon knew coz she counted the ticking of the clock in the living room. Every single girl in the room seemed to be holding her breathe.

Sooyoung had been pausing with her glass halfway to her lips.

"So... who is it?" she squeaked.

"Is it..." Yoona paused as every head turned towards her. "Me?" she squeaked in an even smaller voice than Sooyoung as she pointed to herself.

Taeyeon gave another sigh before nodding.

No one spoke again for a few moments.

"Oh my gosh, finally!!!" Yoona cried out in relief, raising her glass in the air before gulping it all down.

The rest of the girls cheered as well, raising their glasses in the air and giving out shrieks of laughter. Taeyeon remained composed, but couldn't help smiling herself, which she covered by taking sips of her champagne. She sat down beside Seohyun again, who patted her comfortingly on the shoulder.

"So, what now?" Sunny asked, spearing a strawberry with a fork and popping it in .

"Well..." Taeyeon paused, not knowing what to say next. "Well, I told Manager that we'd like to handle this our own way, so... I'm open to suggestions."

Everyone seemed to run out of words again. This was such a surprise, no one knew what to do either.

"Actually eonnies... Oppa has been asking me to just get it out in the open..." Yoona whispered, before filling with fruits and chocolates nervously.

"Awww but your oppa is THE Lee Seunggi. Everyone loves him!" Yuri cried out, gulping down her drink and refilling her glass herself.

"A bit stressed out, aren't you?!" Sooyoung said, patting her friend on the back.

"Well, who wouldn't be?! I can only imagine what people would be saying about MY oppa... not that I'm ashamed of him or anything!?! It's just... oh, you know..." she shrugged and downed another drink.

"Hey, take it easy," Hyoyeon said as she took away the bottle from Yuri's reach.

"Easy for you to say, you're all out there yourself," Jessica said as she took the other bottle and refilled her own glass.

"I really don't care if people know I'm dating. It's my life, they can't do anything about it," Hyoyeon shrugged, smirking as she danced around the room in a salsa.

Taeyeon raised her hand in the air. "Alright STOP! For crying out loud, we're in a crisis!? We need a solution! Any suggestions?"

"Well... why don't we just get everything out in the open, then? All of us."

Chaos broke out as Seohyun covered herself with a throw pillow. No one attacked her though, as each one started to freak out at the possible outcomes. Only Hyoyeon and Taeyeon remained silent.

"Everybody SHUT UP!!!" Sooyoung shouted as she stood up in the middle of everything.

"Maknae's right. I think it's time," she said, looking around at each sister's face. They all looked around each other nervously.

"You already know my opinion on that," Hyoyeon called out from the window seat.

"I... I have to call oppa, but I think we already know what he'll say," Yoona said.

"Well I, for one, am tired of sneaking around in caps and masks and having to hide from all those eyes. I freakin' want to experience a real date in a fine-dining restaurant and get romanced by my hot boyfriend!!!" Sooyoung shrieked. She stood panting there after her tirade.

Tiffany stood up  and gave her a hug. "I totally know how you feel. I want to have that, too," Fany said as she comforted her friend.

"Let's just do it! I think it's just the right timing!" Sunny said, jumping on Jessica as she hugged her.

"Alright, alright!" Taeyeon called for order again. Everyone sat down on the carpeted floor in a circle and focused on their leader.

"We have to decide on the order."

"I'll go first, since it's already out in the open," Yoona said as she raised her hand.

"Alright... who wants to go next?"

Everyone looked around nervously, not willing to volunteer.

"I'll g-"

"NO!!!Not you Hyunnie, OMG PLEASE NO!!!"

Seohyun covered her ears as all eonnies screamed their disapproval.

"But why not?!" she said defiantly.

"No, not you yet, you'll go last... or never, for that matter," Sooyoung answered.

"But-"

"No buts Hyunnie!" Taeyeon bit out. Seohyun pursed her lips together, but stopped when Taeyeon took her hands in hers.

"If we eonnies aren't ready to feed you to the wolves... please, just bear with us for a little while longer sweetheart. Besides, I think Yong seobang will agree with us. You know how... uh, you know..." Taeyeon didn't know how to put it mildly.

Seohyun sighed and nodded. "I get it eonnie. It's alright."

Hyoyeon patted her on the back. "How about revealing all the tall ones first, since we're starting with Yoona," she joked to break the tension.

"I'm okay with that! I want next," Sooyoung cried out, her hand shooting in the air.

"I-- I--" Yuri stammered. "Alright I'll go next, since Hyunnie's out." She placed her palms on her cheeks as she felt a flush coming on.

"I'm fine with whatever order you place me," Hyoyeon waved her wine glass in the air as she lounged against the couch.

"Wait a minute. I think we're forgetting one very important matter here," Tiffany said. She snapped to face Taeyeon, who started to move backward.

"We're all revealing our oppa's out to the public... but we haven't even  met yours," Fany said accusingly, teasing her friend as she moved closer.

"Oh yeah, I forgot about that," Sunny piped up. Jessica giggled and joined in as they all moved in on their leader. Taeyeon nervously moved backwards until her back hit the wall. The other girls looked like hungry hyenas out for a meal.

"So who is it, huh Taeng?!" Yuri  asked, her hands on her hips.

Taeyeon looked from one face to the next, all expectant.

"I-- I-- fine I'll introduce him to you soon eno-"

"Tomorrow."

"What?!"

"I said... You'll introduce him to us tomorrow. It's the perfect timing, coz it's New Year's day," Tiffany declared, smiling at her friend.

Taeyeon could only nod in answer. She'll worry about convincing him later... She caught Seohyun's eye then, who looked back at her knowingly and gave her a wink.

Oh dear lord...

She cleared het throat before speaking up. "Alright, you'll all meet him tomorrow." The rest of the girls squealed, excited at the idea of finally meeting her secret man.

They'll never guess who... Taeyeon thought to herself as they finished off by drawing lots for the rest of the girls.

"This is it, my sisters," Taeyeon said when everything had been decided. They all looked at her with smiles, and she couldn't help smiling herself.

"It's gonna be a bit bumpy for the next few days, but knowing that I'll be going down that bumpy road with you guys, makes it a lot better," the leader said sincerely.

"Just like old times," Jessica said, putting her hand in the center.

"Till now," Yuri whispered, placing her hand on top of Jessica's.

"Until forever," Tiffany added, putting her hand on top of Yuri's.

"This is it girls," Hyoyeon said, putting her hand in as well.

"The rest of our lives start tomorrow," Sooyoung added.

Everyone nodded and added their hands on the pile.

"Ready?" Taeyeon asked breathlessly.

Seohyun and Yoona suddenly piped out together.

"Jigeumun?!"

"SONYEO SHIDAE!!!"

"I love you girls!!!" Sunny shrieked as she shook the champagne bottle and let it spray all over everyone. Everyone shrieked as they all gave a collective sigh of relief.

The night grew deep, but 9 girls celebrated as they were starting a new page in their lives.

Everything's going to be alright, Taeyeon thought confidently.

Gonna be alright...
