a light that once shown bright

is fading with each day

a bit of sorrow has made a shadow

where the light used to stay.

It's quiet now

i'm full of fear

afraid it will never change

for the light has left and darkness still remains here.

if I can't get it back

this light that I love

i will remain sad in the shadows

until something bright shines from above.

days will pass

and I hope it gets better

i will stay quiet and calm

but for now to this pain I am tethered.

i want to bask in the light

like all the days before

if wishing can't make it happen

i will be stuck in the dark forever more.
