Foreword

Jiyong stared the paper on the table. He was just back from work at the studio when he kicked the crumpled piece of paper in front of the front door of Big Bang’s lodge. At first, he doesn’t even bother to pick the paper, but it’s TOP who asked him to pick it up.

“Jiyong-ah, could you lend a hand, pick the crumpled paper and throw it away. Ah, kids these days, they only know how to make trash, not throwing them away,” TOP grumbled after asking Jiyong to pick it up. TOP’s hands were full with groceries, no wonder he asked Jiyong to pick it up. Usually, TOP does it, complete with a 2-minute complaint.

After stepping into the lodge, they went to their own destinations. TOP went straight to the kitchen while Jiyong climbed the stairs, heading to his room upstairs. Before Jiyong had the chance to close the door completely, he heard TOP’s shouting.

“I bought the groceries, I will cook. Seungri and Daesung is in Japan for their solo promotions, Youngbae will be coming a bit late. We will eat once Youngbae comes back!!”

Jiyong hit his temple with his hand. Ah, he forgot that Seungri and Daesung are in Japan. He was about to call Seungri, asking him out to the company’s club, to hit some alcohol and dance a bit. It’s been a long time since his last drink and dance.

“Nah, I will ask Seunghyun-hyung out this time. It’s been ages since we go to the club together,” Jiyong said to himself.

Jiyong changed his clothes into a long-sleeved t-shirt and a pair of tracksuits. He messes his hair a bit. He was just about to open the door when his eyes came across the crumpled paper on his table.

“Oh, bother. Why I didn’t throw it in trash can at the hallway?” Jiyong said to himself. He picked the crumpled paper and walked towards the door. In curiosity, he opened the paper to make sure it’s not something valuable for the members.

He remembered throwing away a piece of paper containing the lyrics that he just finished writing it after almost two weeks spending time on it. He thought it was one of his awful scribbles when he is drunk so he threw it away. When he found out that he threw it away, he cried. That’s the best lyrics that he had ever written. It took almost another month to completely replicate it. The company’s CEO, Yang Hyun Suk was completely upset with him that time.

When he smoothed the creases of the paper out, Jiyong got a shock of his life. He stood straight in front of his room, reading the words inside the paper. His eyes were widely open.

“No, no, it can’t happen. I won’t let it happen....” Jiyong murmured beneath his breath. He closed the door behind him and sat at his writing table.

Now, it’s about 5 minutes he sat there silently. His room was dark, only his table lamp is functioning. The paper is on the table, so is his handphone.  His hands on his head while his elbows on the table. His mind is completely in a mess. He stares the note again. It turned out the crumpled paper is a note for him. Not love letters from his fans or a message from Dami, his sister. It’s a note of threat, a bloody note that threatens the live of his woman.

Hey, Jiyong!!!

You better surrender! Or else your precious girl’s life will end!! By the way, your girl is Daphne Park right? Such a cute and nice girl, but sadly her life ends in the hands of her beloved man.

He hit his head onto the table. I have to protect Daphne, protect her all out.

His phone rang. Jiyong looked the screen.

Daphne!

Jiyong quickly took his handphone and answered the call.

“Daphne?” said Jiyong once answering Daphne’s call. His heart beats fast. The bloody note really makes him shiver. Now the person that her life is on stake, called him.

“OPPA! SAVE ME!” Daphne shouted. Then, the call hung up.

“Daphne? Daphne? DAPHNE!!!!!!”
