Chapter I
Captivating StrangerOn Christmas Eve, Inez went to the wishing fountain. On this wonderful day, making a wish was inevitable. She closed her eyes and clasped her hands together, making a sincere wish silently. Then, she tossed a coin into the fountain to end the procedure with perfection.
As Inez was about to leave, a strong gust of wind blew. She shivered. Suddenly, a windbreaker and a pair of warm hands landed on her shoulders. She pinched herself. It was not a dream. She turned subtly, and a pair of beautiful brown orbs were staring back sweetly at her.
He said “You can keep it. Till we meet again.”
And he dashed off.
Then the romantic first snow of the year came. Inez held out her hand, catching the falling snowflakes.
She knew that this encounter was not just any coincidence, for her wish at the fountain was to have a soulmate who would love her endlessly.
