Her head slinked back to rest on the brick wall, the green tinted bottle in one hand. She remained slumped there quietly, not a single word uttered, yet the voices in her head were drowning her. They taunted her, haunted her, a never ending slur of words jumbled together and forced upon her. They got louder, louder than the defeaning silence that reverberated in her ears. Tonight was one of those nights where her mind ruled her, and not her heart.
Bloody hell, she thought. Shut up already.
Her eyes squinted shut and her grip on the glass tightened noticably, her knuckes fading into an eerie shade of white. Unable to take it anymore, she hurled the bottle across the room. She stared at the remnants of what used to be her Budweiser, now shattered and broken.
Just like her.
Jaeyoung buried her head in her knees. She could feel the familiar burning in the back of her eyes, the sour tinge circulating her nose, and the lump in her eosophagus she couldn't swallow. A sad sigh ghosted across her dry, chapped lips.
Silence reigned.
