F(X) PRACTICE ROOM

Here they are once again. The place which they regard as their third home. The first is their family home, second is their new condominium and the third one is this room. The room which they had spent most of their teen years in where the shed their sweat and tears, the room that witness their improvement from zero to a total AWESOME singers and dancers, and the room that witness they grow up from kids into ladies.

All of the members are practicing really hard for their comeback. This is their third full album. Fans and non-fans are having a really high expectation over their third full album as last year they had made an unforgettable comeback. Their song had become a constant hit. Even until now the song are still going strong in the chart.

It’s almost 10p.m. but the music is still blasting loudly throughout the room. There is no sign of stopping from the girls even though they are panting really hard for breath.

“Okay girls. This time we will dance and lipsync to the song and pretend this is a true stage. After this, we’ll dance and sing for two rounds. Okay?” Victoria informed her members after they finished their- who-knows-how-many-round of practice.

The other members only managed to nod signaling their agreement as they are too tired to talk.

Victoria feels pity towards her members but all of them know for their performance to be perfect, they need to put more and more effort or else they’ll end up looking plain.

“We’ll just do another three rounds as I said earlier okay? After this, we’ll stop and go home,” she smiled encouragingly.

She helped her member to get up one by one and they start their practice again.

Finally, they finished their practice for that day. After they finished cooling themselves down, they went straight to the bath room provided in the building. About 30 minutes later, they finished cleaning themselves, feeling all fresh and good. They grab their stuffs and walked outside to where their manager is waiting.

“Hukhuk..I’m so tired oppa,” Sulli said to their manager once they get inside their MPV.

“I’m hungry,” Krystal pouted.

“I’m tired and hungry,” Luna said while putting her head on Krystal’s lap.

“Aigooo…my poor dongsaengs. Don’t worry. I’ve prepared something for you guys at home,” their manager replied while smiling. *or shall I say other people had prepared* He silently smirked.

As soon as the MPV starts to move, the girls drift off to their dreamland.

*RING RING RING*

The ringtone ended with no one answering the call.

None of the girls have the intention to wake up and check their own Iphones and Blackberrys.

*RING RING RING*

The ringtone rang again for the third time.

Victoria pull the blanket above her face while Luna pull her hoodie down both hoping the noise will fade. And Soojung is oblivious to her surroundings. She won’t wake up even if there’s earthquake.

One person kept shifting from left to right, obviously being disturbed by the nonstop ringing of somebody else’s phone.

“Amber Hyung, your phone is ringing,” Sulli muttered in her sleepy tone.

“Noo..it’s not mine,” Amber replied in her sleep.

“Yah! Who else use the most boring ringtone beside you? It’s okay if you don’t want to answer the call. It’s KEY-OPPA only by the way. Not any important person,” Sulliver said while pretending with her voice like it’s nothing important.

Hahaha! At the name Key-oppa, Amber opened her eyes and wake up at an instant.

*I know I should use the secret word from the beginning* Sulli smirked seeing Amber’s reaction.

“You CHOI JINRI! Did you take a look into my phone?” Amber glared at Sulli.

“No! I just know that’s the thing that I have to do for me to get a peaceful sleep,” She stuck her tongue out and closed her eyes to sleep again.

“Aish! This kid!” Amber whined while taking a look into her call log.

“Oh My God! He did call! I’m dead meat!” Amber face palmed herself. *I better call him or I’ll really die tomorrow*

She took a deep breath and called Key.

The person on the other side answered the call just when the singer of the caller ringtone was about to sing the high notes.

*Poor singer. He didn’t even have the chance to sing properly* Amber felt pity towards the recorded caller-ringtone but her thought was cut by a LOUD  piercing shout.

“YOU, AMBER LIU! How could you ignore my call? Me, your BOYFRIEND called you for like thousand times but you didn’t answer! I need explanation” Key shouted while demanding for explanation from his girlfriend.

On the other side of the phone, Amber was putting her phone really far from her ear in order to protect her precious hearing sense.

“You only call for three times not thousand!” She tried to retort back only to be answered with her boyfriend nagging.

“It doesn’t matter three or three thousand. I demand an explanation now!” He replied back.

“Fine! I’m sorry missy! We’d just finished our practice. I fell asleep as soon as we got into the car. In fact all of us did. Now we’re on our way home. I’m sorry,” Amber apologized again.

“My poor baby! It’s okay. I’m just worried over your safety. Paranoid much? YES, I am. It’s okay if you’re fine. Have you eaten your dinner?”Key asked concernedly.

“Nope. We’ll eat at the dorm. Manager-oppa said he had prepared something for us,” Amber replied.

“Make sure you eat okay. Don’t skip your dinner. Your body will need more energy once your comeback start. So…Where are you guys now. Are you nearby you dorm already?” He suddenly asked.

“Yeah! We’re almost there. We’ll be there in 10-15 minutes…AHA! Why don’t we meet? I miss you boo. You’ve been in Japan for too long. And now you’ve back here why don’t we meet tonight?” Amber asked excitedly.

“Huh? Uh…umm…No. Urmm…I can’t. I have something to do with the boys tonight,” Key answered nervously.

“What is the thing? Are you cheating on me?” Amber asked suspiciously.

“AGSDFGHJK! No way! I’m trapped with my promise to accompany Jonghyun-hyung to the gym. K,bye. Gotta go,” With that Key ended the call.

Amber stared at her phone sadly. She really want to see her boo tonight. It’s been for 6 months since they last meet in real life, as in go for a date, but now he has something to do. Later when their comeback promotion starts, she can’t meet him or go for a date with him. That’s what makes her so sad.

“Unnie..,” Amber felt someone tapped on her shoulder. She looked on her right side to meet with Sulli concerned gaze and as she looked to her front all of her members are looking at her.

“Are you okay AM?” Soojung asked.

She tried to fake a smile but failed miserably.

“He said he can’t go out with me tonight because he has something to do with the boys,”

“Maybe he really has something to do tonight. That’s why he can’t be with you,” Victoria tried to reasoned with her.

“Yeah unnie. I know Kibum-oppa will not let you down easily. It’s not like you can’t meet him on other days. We have like a week away from our comeback. You still have ample of time to go for a date,” Luna smiled encouragingly.

“So true. So it up. Don’t cry. You look ugly when you’re on the verge to cry,” Soojung said only to receive double smack from Luna and Amber.

F(X) DORM

“YAH! Don’t put it there! You’re supposed to put it here!” A guy’s voice rang throughout the dorm.

“Onew hyung! Do it properly,” He nagged again.

“I’m doing it the right away,” The older guy snapped but shut his mouth immediately as the thing that he’s trying to put on the wall fall on the.

“Aisshh!! You guys can do nothing right! Give me that. Let me do it!” He pick the balloons up and climb the ladder by himself showing his frustration.

“OMG! Chillax Kibum, for God sake! It’s not like we are preparing for your girlfriend only. We are preparing for the five of them. Vic-noona, your girlfriend, Taemin’s girlfriend, my girlfriend and Jonghyun hyung unrequited love too,” Minho finally opened his mouth.

“YOU SAY WHAT CHOI MINHO?? It’s not unrequited love. She’s just not returning my love YET.” Jonghyun explained while pouting.

“Isn’t it still the same?” Taemin asked confusedly.

“HAHAHA! Give me 5 Taemin!” Onew laughed loudly.

FLASHBACK

ONEW’S POV

2011

Today is our break. We decided to watch movie and have pajama party at our dorm tonight. After a few argument between Key and Jonghyun, which obviously Key will win at the end, we end up watching a, surprisingly, nice love story.

Suddenly Taemin spoke, “It’s good if I have the courage to confess to her,” and immediately all of our attention are diverted to him.

“Taemin…you are falling in love!!! Homaiiii..Homaaii…”Key freaked out.

“Yah! Kibumbum…..stop it. You’re scaring him out,” Jonghyun smacked Key’s head.

“So….who’s the lucky girl?” Minho asked.

I keep biting my chicken while my gaze is still fixed on our maknae.

“Close your mouth first. All of you. And promise that you guys won’t freak out!” Taemin held out his pinky.

“Promise! Now fast! Spit it” I said impatiently while chewing my chicken.

“Urm….urmm..Jii..Jiiin,” he stuttered.

*OMG! Jin? Taemin can’t be gay? Me? No I can return your love. I’m not homo*

“Me??!! I can’t return your love. I’m not homo” I accidentally spoke my mind out.

“NO! It’s Jinri!” He blurted the name out.

I choked on my chicken.

“Waa…Waa.ter…help! I’m dying!” I said.

“Yeobo! I’ve told you don’t speak when you’re eating,” Key nagged while I drink the water.

“It’s not because I’m talking. It’s because I don’t see that coming,” I pouted.

After I regained myself back, the discussion continues.

“Okay Taemin. Since when?” Key asked like a police officer.

“Since our collaboration last year. Actually during our practice,” he sighed.

“That long? Why didn’t you confess to her?” Minho asked in disbelief.

“I’m afraid that she’ll reject me.” Taemin lowered his head down.

“At least you should give it a try. There’s always Yes or No in every single thing in this world. The possibility for both to happen is always there. If you don’t give it a try you will never know whether she’ll accept you or not. What if she actually waiting for you confession. Just imagine if she give up on you and decide to accept other guy’s heart. Plus, look at me. At first I hesitate to confess to Soojung but I don’t want myself to regret later that’s why I still give it a try. And the end result is we are together now,” Minho taught the younger boy.

Yeah. That’s Choi Minho. The love doctor in our group. He’s the only one who is dating in our group.

“Speaking of  crush. Don’t you guys have one? Even Taemin do have,” Minho turned to look at me, Jonghyun and Kibum. “You Kibum. I always see you look differently at Amber,”

“WHAT? Noo!! OH my! There’s no way..adfghjk…Amber..what,” he stuttered halfway of his speech.

“Don’t lie Kibumbum…I know you like her. Just confess to her before it’s too late. She has a lots of male celebs friends in list ‘ya know? Or shall I have the honour to spill this to Soojungie? Wonder what the boyish Amber will taking of you once she know that you’re too afraid to confess” Minho just now where to prick his needle at Kibum’s ego bubble.

“Don’t you dare to tell her anything before I confess to her or else you Nintendo Wii will end up at the parking lot down there,” Key glared at Minho.

“Fine, fine. I won’t” Minho raised his hands up in defeat. “And you Jonghyun hyung. Come share with us your love story..or shall I say stories?”

“Hey…I noticed that you flirt less this month,” I said while thinking.

“His flirt level is near zero for the last two weeks,” Key corrected me.

“Are you sick or something?” Taemin checked Jonghyun’s temperature.

Jonghyun gulped his saliva down and keeps fidgeting in his seat.

“AHA! I know there’s something behind this weird you!” Kibum shouted.

“Jonghyun-hyung. Tell me what is it? Did you make some girl pregnant?” Minho grabbed his collar.

Jonghyun smacked Minho’s head and defended himself, “YAH! I flirt and I date but I don’t have with random person okay?!”

I grab my glass and noticed that it’s empty, so I excused myself to get some water from the fridge.

I heard he said as I come back, “I think….I fall for her.”

“Bwahahahaha! The player and flirty, Kim Jonghyun. You fall in love?” Key laughed his head off.

“Stop laughing! I’m serious” He snapped.

“MWOOOOO~??! You  fall in love?” I interrupted. “ With who?” I ask again while holding my laughter against this ridiculous fact.

“HAHAHA! Guess who? My chingu! Park Sunyoung!” Taemin laughed his head off.

*Sunyoungie?? This can’t be true* I swallowed my saliva really hard upon receiving this shocking truth.

 “Okay..okay..so when are you going to confess?” Key asked between his laugh.

“I’m planning to confess this weekend,” he said while playing with his finger.

While Key and Taemin are teasing Jjong, I lost in my own thought.

*Well….I don’t see that coming. Just when I was about to tell them about my feeling towards Sunyoung that I had kept since we were trainees, this had to happened. Me and Jonghyun. We fall in love with the same person. How twisted can a fate be?*

“Soo..Onew hyung. Now it’s your turn,” Jonghyun patted me on my shoulder.

*I can’t tell them about this. Nobody should know about this! Oh..wait. That Choi Minho knows! OMG! What should I do? What should I do?*

I raised my face to meet with 4 full of anticipating gazes. Three of them wanting to know if I happened to have a crush seeing the fact that I’m always the FOREVER ALONE ONEW and another one wanting to know whether I’ll be telling the truth or white lie.   

“Me?? AHAHAHA!” I faked a laugh and continue, “ My love is….drum rolls please….forever and always this…CHICKEN! AHAHAHA!,”And that’s the moment where I chose white lies over the truth.

“Seriously hyung? You’re older than us. Don’t you have any crush?” Jonghyun asks in disbelief.

*Yes, her name is Park Sunyoung* “No…hahaha…who’ll ever fall for someone as shabby as me? AHAHA…” I faked a laugh again.

“You have the most fans among us…but you have no crush? Oh my hyung~” Taemin said in a dramatic tone.

“Hahaha..”That’s all I can reply.

“Eiishh..this old man has no life. He’s no fun,” Key shook his head.

I tickled Key in my attempt to show that I’m actually fine to Flaming Charisma Choi Minho who is currently giving me his death glare. Minutes later, I noticed that he stand up and walked to the kitchen.

“Guys! Why don’t you tell me that we ran out of few things in our kitchen?” He shouted from kitchen. “I’ll go to the store and buy it. Onew hyung, you’ll drive,” He forcefully grabs my hand and pushes me out of the door.

In the car,

After a few minutes of tense silence, I cleared my throat and speak.“SO what are the things that we need to buy?”

He looked at me and shook his head, “Actually there’s nothing that we need to buy. I need to talk to you,”

I pretend to keep my focus on the road while the real fact is I’m too distracted by his the possibility of his future interrogation.

“Hyung…you’re lying just now didn’t you?” He asked.

“Wha..what are you talking about? Lying…AHAHA..” I tried to fake a laugh but failed miserably.

“Stop faking it hyung. I know you love Sunyoung. You told me so,” Minho crossed his arm.

I let out a huge sigh and decided to just tell the truth knowing that I’ll never win against him in this matter. “Alright, alright…Yes I love her from the first time I saw her when during our trainee period. And in fact, I still love her. But can’t you see how Jjong was like just now. That’s the very first time I ever saw him acted like that since I first knew him. He was madly in love with Sunyoung. I can’t just spoil his happiness by telling him ‘Oh…same here. I love Sunyoung too.’”

“But hyung..You always give in and tolerate for almost everything when it involves our group or any members of our group. Don’t you think that this is among the time where you have to stand for your own right?” Minho asked as we reached the store.

I turn off the engine, hold on to the steering and look at the front.

“Maybe this is the chance for Jonghyun to change. I can honestly see that Sunyoung can change him into a better person…”I stopped in the middle of the track and let a huge sigh, “PLUS…Sunyoung had actually told me that she actually like Jonghyun…”

FLASHBACK

“Oppa, I have something to tell you,” Sunyoung said to me while playing with the swing.

“What is it about? And please stop swinging because I can’t focus on what you’re going to say!” I said while holding my hips.

“Alright..alright,”she pouted and stop swinging her swing.

Once her swing had fully stopped, I asked her again, “ So, what is it about?”

“Urm…urm…I have been holding this for a long time but I don’t know to whom should I tell this to lessen my heart burden.”She kept fidgeting.

“Just tell me. I promise that I won’t tell anyone,” I ensured her.

“Promise?” She held her pinky out at me.

“I promise,” I held her pinky.

“Oppa…What if, whenever you are nearby a person, you will become nervous, and the possibility that you’ll meet that person, make you become concern of your outfit, how do you look, and whenever you come in contact with that person you feel some sort of electricity flow in your body and at the same time your heart beat wildly. What does that mean?” She tilted her head cutely.

“Hurmm…,” I pretend to think but actually there’s only one answer to her question, “That person had fallen in love,”

“Really?” She asked in disbelief.

“Yes. That’s just a normal reaction. Why? Don’t tell me you have fallen in love!” I .

She keeps staring at the ground and keeps kicking the soil.

“I don’t know. That guy…I always meet him. It’s just whenever that person is nearby..I’ll always feel that way but I know there’s no way he’ll love me back,” She sighed.

*OMO!! Who?? Could it be me?*

“That Kim Jonghyun…” I heard she whispered something but I didn’t catch them.

“Come again, Sunyoungie?” I asked her.

“Kim Jonghyun…he’s the guy that had put me in to this misery,” I swear that I could hear the sound of my heart shattering into million pieces.

I tried so hard to swallow my saliva but I can’t seem to do it because of this painful and too sudden confession.

“So…are you going to confess to him?” I asked her.

“Even though this may be love but I don’t think that I dare to take another risk to be hurt oppa. That one experience had hurt me enough,” She let out a very deep sigh and continued, “I’ll keep this for myself. The possibility of him leaving me once we are a couple are the thing that scare me more than  his rejection,”

*Poor Sunyoungie…the scar that she has in her heart is way too deep. Knowing this, I know I can’t be selfish for myself. I’ll help her to stand strong again and not to be afraid to fall in love and to be loved by others.*

End of FLASHBACK

 “She..she..said that?” Minho’s eyeballs went wide hearing what I said, “Are you okay hyung?”

“HAHAHA….what should I do? That’s what her heart actually feels. It’s nothing that I can change,” I smiled to him.

“SO what are you going to do?” Minho asked me again.

“Me? For me, loving someone doesn’t mean having her. All that I can hope is for her to be happy besides the one that she loves even though that person is not me. One thing that I promised to myself is that I won’t leave her. I’ll stick by her side to help her. Now go and get some stuff that is relevant to convince the members about our outing. I’ll wait here,” I quickly changed the topic and chased him out of the car as my visions are getting blurred by the tears that are threatening to fall.

END OF FLASHBACK

SO, after that night of confession, the three of them went to confess their love to the girls but only two out of the three succeed. The lucky ones are Taemin and his umma, Key. The loser is Jonghyun. In fact, even after 3 years, he’s still the loser but the good thing is his flirt level has gone down to 10%. Big thanks to Sunyoung and small thanks to himself.

 Throughout the three years, I’ve always been the place for Jonghyun to share his story every time he was rejected by Luna. However, tonight he’ll be receiving some surprised.
