It all started when Sanghyuk failed his exams on Chemistry. His parents want him to have a higher grade on the subject when the midterm comes that's why they decided to hire a tutor for their son.

At first, Sanghyuk doesn't like the whole idea of him having a tutor not until he met Taekwoon.

Jung Taekwoon, a senior high school student of the same school he goes, is going to change Sanghyuk's high school life the way he didn't expect.

Sanghyuk came late to the library for their first session. He used to play arcade with his classmates after class but now, he'll be staying in the library with a strange guy.

“You're late.” The boy told him without even looking at him.

The boy is sitting at a little corner of the library near the window. He holds a book with him and the table is filled with science books.

“This is really not a good idea.” Sanghyuk told himself.

“I'm sorry, something came up. Should we start?”

Without a word, Taekwoon opened a book. He took a paper on his bag and wrote something in there.

Things are starting to be boring on Sanghyuk's side. He wants to go but he's stuck here and it is impossible for him to leave.

“Here, answer that.” Taekwoon said as a paper landed in front of him.

Sanghyuk took the paper and answered the questions. Those are really difficult for him because chemistry is not really a thing for him.

“S-sunbae...”

He felt a little scared as for the first time Taekwoon looked at him in the eyes.

Taekwoon took the paper and took a quick look at it.

“All wrong.” Taekwoon said.

The boy opened the book again. He looked at him like he was saying “Listen to me or else you'll die.”

Taekwoon clearly discussed what is in the book. He states every detail of the lesson that the younger must know. His voice made Sanghyuk listen to him.

Sanghyuk doesn't know but every word that comes out from his sunbae's mouth makes a mark on his mind. He is now eagerly listening to him. He doesn't know what but... he's starting to like this whole thing now.

The session ended as the sun sets. There are only few students left in the school and they are the only ones walking through that hallway. The senior walks fast that’s why the younger is left at his back. Sanghyuk's eyes are locked in the boy in front of him. He is amazed by Taekwoon's personality and that he is looking forward to another day with him.

As they reached the school gate Sanghyuk bid his goodbye to the older. Taekwoon didn't bother to say anything but he looked at him before he turned away.

As days passed, their sessions continue. Sanghyuk now enjoys going there. He sometimes brings food to his sunbae and he even tells stories of his favorite game to him. Taekwoon doesn't talk much not if he's gonna discuss a lesson. Sanghyuk was used to it already. He was used to Taekwoon's presence every afternoon but now he’s becoming aware that this will end sooner or later.

Sanghyuk went home that night with a bothered look on his face. Midterm exams will be next week and if he passed Chemistry, Taekwoon will no longer be his tutor and he doesn’t want that to happen.

That thought keeps Sanghyuk awake all night. He doesn't want to be away with his sunbae. He wants to be with him every day if possible.

“I wish I'll fail the exams again.” He told himself.

It wasn't long, midterm is now on. Sanghyuk is very uneasy of what will happen. Will he pass or won't he?

Before entering the room, Sanghyuk saw his tutor in the hallway.

“Sunbae!” He called.

Taekwoon looked at him and said...

“Good luck Sanghyukkie.”

For the first time Taekwoon called him in his name and for the very first time, since he met the guy, he saw him smiled.

Sanghyuk chest started to be weird as he saw that. He also felt something unexplainable on his stomach.  “What is this?” He asked himself.

Taekwoon started to walk again and left the younger confused of what just happened to him.

He walked through his class, seated on his chair and reminisce that smile which drifted him away in a moment.

When the teacher came, he answered the exams. He was amazed that he find it easy to answer those not like the previous one. He is now nervous as the teacher checks his paper.

It was like the longest minute to Sanghyuk. His heart beats so fast and his knees are trembling.

“Good job Han Sanghyuk-ssi. You passed your midterm exam. You only have three mistakes.” His teacher said as it handed him the paper.

“Ommo...”

He bowed his head and quickly left the room. He ran towards their quiet place in the library. He seated there examining the paper and his feelings.

Sanghyuk doesn't know what to feel. Isn't it nice that I passed the exam? He thought.

“I should be happy now... but why I am not?”

The thought that he would not be with his dear tutor pains him.

He seated there for hours, he went back to the memory of Taekwoon and now he realized.

The other day, Sanghyuk went to meet his senior at the school gate. He's gonna tell the news to him and admit everything before it'll be late.

“Sunbae!” He smiled as he ran towards Taekwoon.

The other looked at him and smiled. He seems waiting for the news that's why Sanghyuk handed him his test paper.

Sanghyuk felt a little shy that's why he bowed his head. Before then, he realized that Taekwoon's hand is patting his head nicely.

“Good job, Sanghyukkie. I'm proud of you. You don't need me anymore.”

Those words made Sanghyuk lift his head. That is what he has been avoiding to happen, and for that... he took all his courage and say the words...

“No sunbae! I will always need you with me. I don't want you away from me.”

Taekwoon looked at him intently giving him a “what-do-you-mean look”.

“Jung Taekwoon-sunbaenim, Joah. Joahaeyo.” Sanghyuk blurted.

They continue standing there for minutes. Sanghyuk is waiting if Taekwoon will hit him or just simply leave but... the boy handed him a piece of paper and said “Go back to me if you'll know what that means. Good bye Hyukkie.”

Sanghyuk was left confused there. He opened the folded the paper and found out these words:

As soon as he've read it, Sanghyuk ran towards the library. He quicky find the periodic table and look for the elements listed.

He smiled to himself and run towards the exit when he found out.

“Taekwoon sunbae! You're really a genius that's why I like you.” Sanghyuk said while running towards his dear tutor.
