Description
Kangin's wife is dead. And while he was mourning, someone came.
Foreword
He stared out the window blankly, looking at the cars passing by. How long had he been here? 2 hours? She had been waiting for him too, here, right at the same spot. Maybe he was an hour late, or more, he couldn't really remember. And when he arrived, she made that cute little pout and sulked for the rest of the evening. But at the end of the night, when they were walking their way home, he spun her around and kissed her.
"Marry me?" he whispered after they broke the kiss.
She stood there frozen. He looked into her eyes and repeat, "Would you marry me?"
"I don't like this kind of pra- ooh....," her eyes widen as he took a red box out of his pocket.
"No, this is not a prank," he opened the box, revealing a thin silver ring with a tiny diamond on it. "This is pretty much what I can spare right now, because assuming that you would accept my proposal, I need to save money for the wedding and wedding ring," he grinned as he scratched his head.
Her eyes were teary, he remembered. Still, she stood there stubbornly, folding her arms and say, "Do it properly."
He laughed, "Properly how?"
"Get on your knees."
"Since when are you a princess?" he mocked.
"You are not a prince either," she rolled her eyes.
"And that's what makes us perfect," he kneeled down, "The love of my life, my breath, my heart, and my soul, would you be the one I wake up to every morning, the one to make my lunch box when the office hours went crazy, and the one I spoil at night?"
"That's too much, you moron," she smiled as tears spilling down her cheeks. "I accept you, the biggest moron I ever met, the reason I tripped over and over again, and I would clean your messy bed, straighten your clothes, and walk your dogs for the rest of my life, together."
"Cheeessyyyy," he laughed up and hugged her as she cried harder. "We are not the characters in those happy ever after books, so let's make our own fairytale," and then he kissed her.
He buried his face in his hands. Now that she's gone, all that he had are memories of them. And their precious kids, he smiled slowly. Realization came fast, and he slapped his cheek. He still had his kids, their kids. They needed him most now, and all he'd been doing is staring out the window. What kind of a- Heck, he thought as he picked up his bag. He paid much more than the actual bill, and walked out of the cafe. "My kids need me more."
