An old man with still near-perfect features swung his big, comfy chair and faced the tall young man that was currently standing in front of his desk.

“Minho-yah, the board of leaders has decided to push through with Mission #914 for your group SHINee. We believe that it is about time you guys experience the 'complete' idol experience. You do know what that mission means though, right?” he asked, straight to the point, raising an inquisitive eyebrow in Minho's direction.

“Of course, Sir! I know what that specific mission entails,” Minho answered politely, bowing humbly.

“That's great! I knew you were the best choice for this. So, it is with concrete foundation and reasoning that we chose you, Charisma Choi Minho, to be the one to visit South Korea and fulfill this mission. Understood?” the old man declared formally, nodding across Minho.

Minho bowed respectfully, feeling his pride swelling inside of him. “Clear as crystal Sir! It is an honor for me to be the one you chose.”

“Okay. You can pack your things and leave by tomorrow. Everything you need is ready. You have a full quarter to finish this mission, okay? Now you may leave.” Waving a hand in the air, the old man indicated Minho’s dismissal from his room, smiling warmly. Minho, smiling as well, nodded and bowed once again, walking out of the room and towards where he lived.

“Yah Minho! What the heck are you doing all holed up inside your room like that?!” Jonghyun shouted while pounding at Minho’s bedroom door.

“Minho-hyung, c’mon! Let’s play video games! I bet I could beat you today!” Taemin piped up from Jonghyun’s side.

“Minho, come out of here and eat! You’re as skinny as a toothpick!” Kibum’s voice boomed, no doubt coming from the kitchen.

Jonghyun raised an eyebrow, lips quirking up teasingly at Kibum's words. “Isn’t that a bit exaggerated Kibum-ah? A toothpick? Minho?” 

Taemin snickered.

“Shut up you annoying puppy!” Kibum shouted back, sounding close to Minho's room unlike earlier. A resounding smack and a pained yelp echoed moments after the shout.

“Oww! That hurts!” Jonghyun whined, gently rubbing the back of his head that Kibum undoubtedly smacked.

Kibum turned his nose high up in the air. "You deserve it."

With an amused shake of his head, Minho zipped his bag close and decided to take pity on his friends for worrying over him. He opened the door and just couldn’t fight the grin that stretched on his lips when he saw his friends; Jonghyun was sulking on the floor, rubbing his injured head while Kibum threateningly cracked his knuckles, a victorious air around him. At the side, Taemin was rolling around with laughter.

Minho cleared his throat, and three surprised gazes snapped up to him. He smiled and walked towards the living room with his bag in tow.

“Where are you going, Minho?” The three blurted out in unison, following Minho like lost puppies.

“I'm chosen to fulfill Mission #914,” Minho announced calmly as he flopped down on the couch and placed his bag on the floor beside the coffee table.

There was a stunned silence for a few seconds before the three suddenly grinned and squealed. Minho haven’t had the chance to smile because the three were on him lightning fast, pouncing and locking his body in a giant group bear-hug.

When they pulled apart, Jonghyun clapped Minho at the back enthusiastically, Taemin clung on Minho’s arm and Kibum looked teary-eyed.

Kibum was the first to speak up. “I knew it! Your full year of studying finally paid off Minho! When are you leaving?”

“Tomorrow hyung,” Minho answered him with a sigh. “I have about three months to finish it. Until then, I’m stuck at Earth. I wish you guys are going with me. I’m going to miss you all!” Minho all but whispered, head hung down.

“Aww, we’re going to miss you too!” The three cooed and hugged him again. Eventually, they released Minho and the four of them talked until the break of dawn.

“Charisma, remember to follow the given instructions for a safe mission,” Commander Choi Siwon reminded over the radio.

“Yes Sir!” Minho replied and buckled his safety belt. He was nervous as hell, but the happy and proud faces of his three friends cleared it all away for him. Managing a small smile, he took a deep breath and exhaled, preparing himself for the launching

“Get ready for take off. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..”

Engines roared and smoke flowed.

Minho had taken off.

Sitting comfortably down the meadow, Jonghyun, Kibum and Taemin watched Minho’s spaceship took off, away to the universe and subsequently to planet Earth.

Jonghyun sighed.

Taemin sniffed.

Kibum yelled.

“Yah! Minho-ah! Don’t forget my 100% natural Earth mud pack facial mask okay?!"
