Foreword

“Well, here we go again.”, a thought. That was the thought of two persons. Two undeniably different persons. Only that they unfortunately seem to have a never-ending cycle of events. And they just really hate it.

Sitting at the back seat of their car, a girl kept thinking about the never-ending possibilities of their new house and counting the number of times they have moved. “…18…19…20.” She finished counting. 'And this will be the 21st.' She thought. “Bi.” She was pulled out of her reverie when her mom called her. “We’re here.” Her mom smiled. “Ah, we’re…” She couldn’t believe her eyes cause just as she was supposed to pertain to an apartment as home she saw a house. “Where are we?” She asked. “Home.” Her dad replied while getting their things from the trunk. No, she couldn’t believe it and she wouldn’t believe it. “Home? Dad this is a house! Not to mention a big house! Your employer would not have given an employee this much!” She exclaimed. Her dad laughed and went to her. “Relax, Bi. Things change.” He ruffled her hair then brought their things inside.

Walking down the hallway of their manor, a boy sighed once again, “Will things really ever change?” Hearing the constant raising of voices and banging of desk, he grumbled, “Whoever might have quoted that.” The noise was coming from the library and it was once again caused by the usual misunderstanding of his parents. He knocked and no one answered, but the noise could still be heard, so he decided to give himself the permission to get in. And just like what usually happens, silence followed his entry. “What? Why stop now?” He motioned them to continue but they wouldn’t. “So, what’s this about now?” He asked. That’s when his mom decided to speak again, but this time in a calmer tone. “You see, Baek, your dad was supposed to give me a house as his anniversary gift. But guess what? He just gave it to an employee!” She explained, raising her tone on her last statement. “I have my reasons. I need them to be nearer, especially when I need them to do something for me.” His dad defended himself. He knew that this would lead to another argument. “Right. I understand.” He said to excuse himself out.

“Things really do change.” The two stated sarcastically. Baek with his back against the door. And Bi facing the door.
