89. 90. 91.          He waited in the shadows, still and silent as the grave. His black mask and matching clothes made him nearly invisible. His dark hair fell over his face, successfully concealing what the mask hadn't already hidden.          92. 93. 94.          The guard finally rounded the corner. The dark haired boy mentally cursed. 94 seconds. The first time he had taken 102, and the second 97. Why did he have to be getting faster?          1. 2. 3.          The boy started his count again and ran over the plan in his head one last time. The door to the master bedroom was directly in front of the statue he was hiding behind. Two hallways ran on either side of the small room. There was a single guard that patrolled the hallways, taking approximately 98 seconds from the time he rounded the corner to walk to the end and come back. The guard would then check that the door was still locked, switch to the other hallway, and repeat indefinitely until the next guard came to relieve him in two hours.          93. 94. 95.          The guard rounded the corner and proceeded to check the door. The dark haired boy slipped his tools from his pocket and readied himself to move. As soon as the guard’s back disappeared down the other hallway, the boy ran silently to the door and began to work on the lock. He had picked hundreds, if not thousands, of locks. He could open anything. He grinned as the first pin clicked easily into place. This wasn’t a particularly difficult lock, but it would take a bit of time. He just hoped that he had enough time.          55. 56. 57.          The seconds ticked by. He had set the first five pins, and was steadily working on the sixth. The seventh clicked into place right as his mental timer hit 70 seconds. He only had about 15 more seconds to get the last pin before he would be in real danger. Against his will and his years of training, his hands started to shake. He almost cursed out loud as his shaking knocked one of the other pins lose.
