afternote.

so like - i rewrote this afternote practically once per chapter i’ve uploaded since chapter … nine? probably more than that. but in the end, i’ve ended up rewriting it again because - oh god you’re all beautiful, alright?

writing this story wasn’t exactly the smoothest of rides. i had a lot of moments regarding schedules, college application/interviews and my ever falling relationship with my father. (and else) but like. wow.  i can’t with you all. i don’t know how you guys all managed to put up with me. you’re all amazing.

i hope you guys all realize this.

originally, in the first draft of this story (you know, up to the point where i wrote in class during my chinese final - or was it a midterm otl), everything, and i mean everything was supposed to go wrong. there was, true, a lot more banghim but there was also a whole lot more illogical angst. by the end of the original story, yongguk was supposed to die. but because it was lacking realism, it was trashed and forgotten.

we all know i love that man too much to kill him off anyways.

the rewrite and the second storyline was born from request from some of my friends, thus reinforcing the fact that i’ve got the thinnest ear in the history of forever (it’s a korean saying. having ‘thin ears’ means that you’re easily persuaded. not that you legitimately have thin ears, though direct translations would read that you have floppy ears).

that said, while writing this story, i’ve realized i have too many banghim shipper friends. (i’m talking to you baka) and my daejae feels do not feel welcome. i’ll be daejaeing in the corner if you need me otl.

anyways. there really isn’t much to say in this afternote unlike my previous one. himchan did a brilliant job describing what was important and what wasn’t. of course, with the exception of the things he didn’t know (ah the beauty of writing in first person) everything was pretty much explained.

to describe, in short bullet points so i don’t start ranting:

＊ junhong considered himchan a mommy since really early on (like when he met jiho)
＊ jiho does have a crush on himchan (so did my younger cousin on me)

＊ in chapter 08, junhong was complimenting yongguk so himchan would notice yongguk
＊ junhong wanted yongguk to take himchan back from junmyeon

＊ HIMCHAN AND JUNMYEON WERE (YES) DATING
＊ CHANMYEON MEANS COLD NOODLES KTHNXBAI
＊ they were in a relationship from chapter 08 to 12 they got together and broke up off scene
＊ they broke off on good terms, but still it’s awks to leave junhong with your ex

＊ yongguk didn’t really notice he likes himchan until chapter 13
＊ he’s an oblivious idiot and jieun had to tell him
＊ he just thought he appreciated himchan cause himchan so naice
＊ it was in chapter 13, when junhong was in kindergarten, that bangsong talked
＊ and later in that same chapter that yongguk told junhong his mom is jieun
＊ junhong absolutely flipped

＊ himchan’s had a crush on yongguk since middle school
＊ he only realized when yongguk started going out with jieun
＊ which is why himchan didn’t much like jieun until later in the time span of this story
＊ you could even say that yongguk turned him gay. unintentionally

＊ jieun, never once, intended to take himchan’s place as junhong’s makeshift parent
＊ yongguk never said anything once about going to jieun either
＊ he just wanted junhong and jieun who know
＊ was all poking at his conscious and all, you know

＊ jieun left in chapter 14 because she feels like she’s interrupting something
＊ she wasn’t originally this amazing a character
＊ but people kept saying bad things about her so i kind of went lolno
＊ she’s too amazing for me to make her a bad guy in this story

＊ there is no antagonist. lol

＊ that time in chapter ten i didn't update wasn't because i was upset
＊ it was cause i went to japan for five days and was too lazy to write loloops

＊ when i hit 200 subscribers, i legitimately flipped
＊ i was out with my friend, drinking
＊ it was a funny sight, needless to say

＊ i have the second bap season’s greeting calendar and as i write this
＊ yongguk is giving me his i’m-judging-you look while taking off his shirt
＊ i don’t know whether to be scared or what
＊ please don’t hurt me

＊if anyone is still mind ed, do tell and i'll do my best to explain
 

and thus we reach an end to another story. thank you to everyone that read along and left comments. i’ve been a moody through writing this story; you guys are really awesome for putting up with my stupid.

though i didn’t have the best of time writing this story (fluff was almost painful to write) it was a fun ride. but, i can’t help but be glad that it’s finally over.

fun fact: the only reason i began writing this story was because i wanted to write about pretty brown hair.
