Longing Innocence
Description
Growing up for Choi Minhee...has never been easy. And why should it start to? At the age of six, being merely a child, she witnessed the murder of her own father. And, with her own small hands, she killed her father's murderer. Thus, ending her days as a child. Growing up, she finds out that her father was the gang leader of the most vicious, merciless, and strongest gang in all of South Korea. She takes over and becomes their next boss, at the age fourteen.
At the present, Minhee finds out that her father had "unfinished business" with the second best gang. Aiming to fulfill her father's last desire, she plans a full-out attack. But, while on the run from trouble, a man saves her. Park Jungsu to be exact. He shows her the happier parts of life she's never experienced. Without realizing it, she falls in love with him.
But what happens when he turns out to be the leader of the much acclaimed, gang that her father had "unfinished business" with?
Foreword
This is a oneshot for Kestrelsong's AFF Contest. :)
I chose the third premise:
“The day the child realizes that all adults are imperfect, he becomes an adolescent; the day he forgives them, he becomes an adult; the day he forgives himself, he becomes wise.”- Alden Nowlan
How I interpret this, is simply restating into more understanding terms:
A child always believes that their parents are the amazing beings that can do anything, but as they grow older, they realize that they are not what they thought they were, thus estranging them. As they grow up, they realize that everyone has their imperfections and they come to accept it. When they are even older, they come to finally accept that even they, themselves, are imperfect as well.
I think that's what it means. >_< I hope you like it.
