He looked at her.

Eyes closed.

Face scrounged up in pain and agony.

Hands to her head, massaging it ever so lightly

He was driving fast

He had to get her home to end her pain

Argh careless girl

He thought

How could she leave her pills

“just hold on a little while dear we’re going home”

He held to his steering wheel and push down on his engine pads.

*click*

He parked his car at the gate of their house

He did ran over some of his flower pots but that didn’t matter to him

He had to get his wife to end her misery

He opened the door and swiftly carried her up to their room

He took her pills and a bottle of water in their kitchen

He gave it to her and she gulped it down

He stared at her with contented eyes

Her eyes were half closed

But he could tell it helped her ease her pain a bit

She let out a sigh of relief

And he did too

He set her bed

Fluffed up her pillow

Just like how her mum did

And he slowly laid her down

He looked down at his wife

Ever so beautiful

And so delicate

He ran his fingers through her hair

And laid a kiss on her forehead

He took off her shoes

And wiped off her makeup

And placed everything back to where it belonged

Arranged his pots neatly and cleaned off the dirt that he left on the floor for not taking his shoes off when making his way up to their room

It was seven at night

Way too early for her to go to sleep

He figured he should wait for her until she wakes up

He did lots of things to keep him awake

Cleaned his house

Clear the litter

Played fifa on his xbox

And even

Cook himself dinner

He was washing his dishes when suddenly he heard someone coming down the stairs

He thought

And he ran out his kitchen

‘How are you feeling?’

He asked

She didn’t speak a word and walked towards him

she wrapped her arms around him and gave him a hug

A hug was all she needed

To make her feel safe

To make her feel cared for

He held her close

And took in her scent

Her hair smelled fruity

It was a perfect hug I must say

Arms across his shoulder

Legs tiptoed

Eyes closed

She still felt a tad bit giddy

But that didn’t matter

That hug made it all better

“I just wanted to hug you”

And that’s all she said

They spent the rest of the night.. well, morning to be exact

In each others arms

Enjoying each others company and each other’s warmth

And soon they both fell asleep on the couch.
