Taste of Death

Credit goes to cherryjoy03 for having a dream and writing this forward, inspiring me to continue and make this into a fanfiction as we work together.

Foreword

JunHong's blood ran cold as he witnessed the gruesome scene in front of him, sweat rivered down his forehead as he let out inaudible screams, he just wanted to grab ChoHee's hand and run away but his body refused to listen to him, instead, it just froze.
The man with the black hoodie plunged the sharp blade deeply into the victim's bare flesh- he sat on top of her, screams tore from the girl's throat. The girl found her hands grabbing onto the killer's hoodie for leverage, pulling down the killer's hoodie- she needed to see who this bastard was, only to be stabbed again in the chest, precipitating another loud cry- blood splattered all over the killer's face. But that was not it, he didn't just leave the bloody knife there, he decided to make it more fun by tearing the girl's muscle- dragging the knife down towards the stomach. By then, the victim is already half dead, tears were forming in her eyes- she was young, a middle school student who had a whole future in front of her, she didn't deserve this- not a single bit, but that didn't matter anymore.
ChoHee lost it, the girl was younger than her- a train of thoughts invaded her mind- how horrified her parents would be, all her friends eventually forgetting the victim in time- ChoHee was snapped out of her trance when she lost her balance, knocking over a broom- probably someone from the neighboorhood had discarded.
The murderer almost immediately turned around, his expression menacingly frightening- the blood on his face trickling down his jaw. Who dares to interrupt his artwork? His mind changed immediately when he saw ChoHee- she could be his next artwork and the rather tall looking boy could be a great canvas too.
A feeling of dread crept up from the pit of ChoHee's stomach, a cold wave embalmed her as the hairs rose on the back of her neck and ran dry. ChoHee was paralysed to the spot, the menanacing aura holding her in a tightening grip- they made eyecontact.
"RUN!" JunHong managed to scream, but ChoHee's legs wouldn't budge. "ChoHee! Run!" he yelled, his voice was restrained as he grabbed onto the girl's arm before running as fast as his legs could take him.
------------------------------------------30 minutes earlier----------------------------------------------
JunHong pouted as he walked quietly behind his childhood short friend- Moon ChoHee.
"I hate you, Zelo!" she whined- Zelo. JunHong loved it when she called him that, it was a nickname she had came up with when they were in middle school because of his hardworking nature- it was another reassurance she wasn't really that angry with him.
"It's not that bad walking home with me, is it?" JunHong laughed awkardly.
"It's not THAT. You know how creepy it is walking home when it's dark outside? Theres been a lot of murders happening too" the brunette shuddered. "This would NOT have happened if you didn't get into a fight with the teacher which caused us BOTH to have detention" ChoHee complained
"But he was being a jerk to you" the blonde pouted- his aegyo had always worked on her, no matter how much he hated doing it.
ChoHee giggled at the younger's cuteness. "Okay, fine!" she laughed, jumping up to reach her short arm over JunHong's shoulders. "Thanks, Jello~"
JunHong's face flushed red "Uh-ChoHee-" he muttered before his attention diverted to a familiar alleyway. "ChoHee! Lets go through the alleyway! It's so much faster that way to our apartment, I know this because I was late once for school"
ChoHee looked at him like he was crazy "No way, that's just creepy"
---------------------------------------------- 5 minutes later-------------------------------------------------
It took a long time to convince ChoHee to walk through the alleyway- although it was just JunHong's excuse for skinship when she got scared.
ChoHee clinged onto JunHong's long arm as she walked through the alleyway "Holy--Oh my god. Zelo, I don't think this is a good idea" she mumbled.
"Chohe-" before JunHong could continue, they heard a pained scream coming from the distance.
"What was that!?" ChoHee exclaimed, running towards the direction of the scream- her detective instincts kicking in- her brother is a policeman afterall.
"Wait!" JunHong ran after her.
