Darling, Dearest, Dead.
Description
Darling, Dearest, Dead. – Lemony Snicket
Two lovers separated by a tragedy and brought back together by love.
He died for her, not because of who she was but because of who she was to him. And now he’s still in her life, by her side, not as the man she once loved.. but as the ghost of that man. They see each other, they hear the other’s words but cannot feel one another’s presence. And perhaps that’s the worst situation of all.. to be so close and yet seperated by life and death.
He is on the other side, a side that she so desperately wants to be on but won’t allow her to reach. They are torn apart due to the harsh reality of what the other is. She is a human, alive and breathing. He is a ghost, dead and breathless.
But is he really there or is Seri slowly losing her mind?
So what happens when she meets someone else.. someone with a beating heart? Someone who can touch her, someone she can touch. What will she choose? Love or reality? Life or death? Clinging onto her past or letting everything go for a new future?
Her husband or that someone else?

Author's Note:
Hey guys!
This is my new story. It is going to be very short.. just a prologue, the main part (body? middle part? idk..) and then the epilogue. It is going to have a lot of quotes because there are some aspects of this story that I couldn’t convey with my own words. I really hope you like it! Please subscribe and comment below :)
Also, any similiarities are purely coincidental. I did not plagiarise.
Foreword
Lemony Snicket to Beatrice Baudelaire.
Darling, dearest, dead.
---
My love for you shall live forever. You, however, did not.
---
I would much prefer it if you were alive and well.
---
My love flew like a butterfly
Until death swooped down like a bat
As the poet Emma Montana McElroy said:
“That’s the end of that.”
---
You will always be in my heart,
In my mind,
And in your grave.
---
When we met my life began.
Soon afterward, yours ended.
---
When we were together I felt breathless.
Now you are.
---
Summer without you is as cold as winter.
Winter without you is even colder.
---
Our love broke my heart,
and stopped yours.
---
When we first met, you were pretty, and I was lonely.
Now I am pretty lonely.
---
Dead women tell no tales.
Sad men write them down.
---
No one could extinguish my love,
or your house.
---
I cherished, you perished.
The world’s been nightmarished.
---
We are like boats passing in the night -
particularly you.
– Lemony Snicket
