Foreword
Story inspired by Yongguk's I Remember video, which I'm pretty sure is inspired by my favorite song OF ALL TIME, Love The Way You Lie. This video was one of the first BAP/BYG videos I watched, and I fell in love so hard because it reminded me so much of Love The Way You Lie.
I wrote this story even before I wrote "What My Heart Tells Me To Do", but I never meant for it to see the light of day because writing it was quite a raw, emotional experience. I do not condone domestic violence, but I feel like there is just something immensely enchanting about love so deep (or warped, depending on how you look at it) that one would put up with anything just to be with a person. Nevertheless, this is not a story about physical abuse. Abuse can not only be physical, but emotional, and I think it's the emotional wounds that cut deeper. Most people take physical abuse as something that is clearly wrong, and will end a relationship if a partner is physically abusive. But where do we draw the line when we are hurt emotionally? Sometimes I feel that we may think we are strong, independent women who wouldn't tolerate a man laying a hand on us (and we're quick to judge other women who do) but emotionally, we can be pretty masochistic. Human emotions are fascinating, aren't they?
