It was a few minutes past midnight when a blood-curdling scream was heard from down the block at the Jung household where a murderous event was about to be held. Eunji dashed upstairs as her Mother ran after her, haggard and drunk, with a knife as she yelled curse words at her daughter. Hearts pounding as she shut the door to her room, scurrying to lock it but her Mother had already caught up to force the door wide open, her fingers gripping onto the knife tightly as she stared at her with disgust. “How is a tramp like you still in my life?”, she yelled and took a step towards Eunji, pointing the knife at her. “Mom, you’re drunk, you don’t know what you’re doing” , she teared up as she walked backwards until her back had been pressed flat against the wall, nowhere else to run as her Mother came closer and ran the knife down against her chest. “You’re the worst mistake of my life, now I will erase you and get rid of my mistake,” she said with a demented grin as she pierced the knife through her ribcage, leaving her body limp and cold in almost an instant.

That was how the supposedly peaceful evening passed into hours, days, weeks, months and then years. . . . .
