Description
Right when they really started falling in love with each other...even if it WAS just middle school, an accident left Lee Jieun not remembering anyone besides her family.
Byun Baekhyun had been there at the time -- when Jieun was in the accident. Heck, it was because she saved him that she got hit by the car instead, and that was right after an argument they had.
After finding out that she didn't remember who he was, Baekhyun left Seoul to go to America for his dad's work. That was what the argument was about -- Jieun not wanting him to go but he needed to.
Three years later, in their last year of high-school, Baekhyun returns to South Korea and is in the same class as Jieun, who changed her name to IU after the accident.
It's after Baekhyun returns that IU realises that he plays a huge part in her forgotten memories.
Then, after he saves her in an accident in the same way she saved him, she remembers clearly who he was...but he forgets her...
Foreword
"Wake up Jieunnie..." Baekhyun was beginning to lose patience as his girlfriend didn't wake up from her coma that had lasted one week...if you counted today.
As soon as he said that, the tiniest movement occurred in her left hand... the one that always held Baekhyun's right hand.
Colour began to rapidly return to her cheeks and soon, her eyes flashed open.
"SHE WOKE UP!" Baekhyun exclaimed and doctors, nurses and Jieun's own family rushed in.
"Please wait outside until we finished checking Miss Lee Jieun out," one of the doctors instructed.
It wasn't long before a nurse opened the door and said. "It's like a miracle. She's fine except for the fact that she may forget some things. You're free to check her out now!"
They stepped in and instantly, Jieun sat up straight. "Mum? Dad? Sungyeol-oppa? What am I doing here?" She asked, clearly confused.
"OMO! My baby's ok!" Her mum cried and almost ran over.
As soon as they finished, they walked out of the room so that Baekhyun could have some time alone with Jieun for a bit.
"Remember me?" Those were the only two words he whispered.
And as she shook her head hesitantly, tears formed in Baekhyun's eyes.
He stormed out of the hospital, biting his bottom lip to stop the tears from flowing, all the way back to his home where his dad was waiting to leave for the airport.
Back in the room, Jieun stared after Baekhyun, and for some reason, a single, fat, glistening tear rolled down Jieun's right cheek...
