Description

Oh Sehun was, for some reason unbeknownst to him, gifted with the power of seeing in the future.

Naturally, everyone thinks that it's a good thing, being able to see into the future. You can see into the future whenever you want, you can prevent bad things from happening to you or anyone else, and you can see the consequences of your actions. What more could you possibly ask for? It's practically a blessing to have that kind of gift, and there would be no complaints about that kind power (except for the fact to maybe have a little more control over time— but you see, if used incorrectly, it could cause wormholes, rips in the fabric of time, and a lot of other messy things which is a story for another time), but you see, seeing into the future was not that simple.

For one thing, Oh Sehun could only see bad things happening. Things ranging from paper cuts to broken bones to death, and the only way he could see into the future was if he had body contact with someone, and even then, he was only allowed to see the future of that specific person. Sure, that might not sound so bad, seeing as Oh Sehun could prevent it if he knew what was going to happen, but that was exactly that. He knew what was going to happen, he just didn't know when it was going to happen.

To be honest, at first, like the novelty of getting a new toy, Oh Sehun didn't mind that kind of power, finding it kind of amusing when someone he didn't like would get hurt sometime in the (possibly) near future. He relished in the knowledge of his enemies getting injured. He thrived on it, always making sure to keep a certain eye out for them and always sniggers when it happens to them.

Eventually, all novelty wears off, no matter what it is. That being said, the novelty of seeing into the future wore off abruptly when he saw his own best friend's death, and he couldn't do anything to stop it.

Since then, Oh Sehun has kept to himself and made sure to avoid all body contact, tensing up whenever someone comes near him.

You know, until the new transfer kid comes along.

Foreword

Stop acting as if life is a rehearsal. Live this day as if it were your last.
The past is over and gone. The future is not guaranteed.

His footsteps that are normally light and quiet are heavy and loud as he walks through the empty hallways. The soles of his shoes kiss the floor while his hands stay snug in his pockets along with some lint and loose change. He’s already late for class by who-knows-how-long, and it wouldn’t make a difference if he takes his time walking there at this point.

He’s sure that his teacher would blow several gaskets because he was late to class again. He’d probably preach about the importance of being to class on time like he usually does when someone was late to class. By the way he was acting, one would naturally assume that it was the end of the world if someone happened to miss a few minutes of class.

Besides, even if he hates the lectures that he gets every week about being late from the administrators and how he should “try harder on getting to class on time” and he should “never stop in the hallways to talk to his friends” and all that wonderful jazz, he couldn’t come on time to class even if he wanted to. In these small hallways, everyone is packed together like sardines and you have to patiently shuffle along the hallways as people filed into the classrooms. Not only is that annoying, but he’d rather avoid as much body contact as possible.

There’s also the fact that he can sort of see into a person’s future when skin contact occurs. He’s had this ability for as long as he can remember and it’s been more of a curse than a blessing simply because of the fact that he can only see bad things in their future. No matter how trivial it is, it’s always a bad thing; like a paper cut or failing a test that you studied so hard on.

At first, he didn’t mind it so much. It definitely gave him a kick out of knowing something bad is going to happen to the people he didn’t like. Of course, he didn’t know when it was going to happen; it just satisfied him knowing that it was going to happen— eventually.

Just like when a particular female who just happened to be too stuck up for his likes came into contact with him, he found it completely satisfying to know that eventually she would break her arm trying to do a handstand. His visions had never gone wrong before, and sure enough, two weeks later, she came into school with a broken arm, complaining about how she broke it. She paraded around with it, and he wasn't sure it was possible, but she became even more stuck up, demanding that the people who kissed the very floor she walked on carry her things because she was unable to do it.

Even though, in the end, she ended up more annoying and stuck up than usual, she did get what she deserved, and hopefully something else would happen to her that would knock her down a few pegs because bad things did come in threes.

But, death can also be a bad thing, like the time he saw his best friend get shot.

ok to be completely honest with you i had no idea why i wrote that for the foreword... .. . i'm like reusing story ideas that never made the cut. therefore, i'm gonna scrap my other hanhun fic and incorporate it into this one (y) anyway thanks for giving this a shot and w/e!! title is also subject to change. other charas will be added, i'm just absolutely certain that luhan and sehun will be in this fic though. chen is subjected to change as well but i like writing him, so he'll probably show up.

uhmm, i might edit and add to the desc. more, but hey, subscribe and whatever!! this story is just like an experiment— not sure how it's gonna work out, but i have high hopes!!
