December 25th.

She watched as he sat down in front of the smiling girl, reaching across the table to pick up her hand. Soon, tears came to her eyes as he put his hand on the other girl's cheek affectionately. Turning away from the couple, she took a deep breath and grabbed her backpack, hastily getting up.

She hoped that they didn't see her, but she knew the other girl did.
