"Hey." Nan walked in to the apartment behind me, a worried expression etched into her features. "Min, you sounded so flustered on the phone. Is everything OK?

Wordlessly, I pointed to the folded, crumpled paper on the coffee table. I hadn't the heart to move it, but after 2 hours of simply staring at the note I felt compelled to call someone. 

   Nan took a seat on the couch, lifting the note into her field of vision as she settled against the cushions. " Who sent this?

   "I have no idea....."

  And that's what made it worse. If I had someone to point the finger at I'd have felt a little better, but there was nothing that I could do but wallow in my insecurities like the coward I was. Even from my position pacing a distance away from the sitting area I could still see the words of the neatly written message behind my eyes.
