"Yah, c'mon hyung!" Kai complained, taking his hyung by the arm and gently wiggling it. The elder male blinked a little, surprised that he was older than the other because of the way he is acting. "You have to come out with us! It isn't going to be fun without you." The elder pondered a bit and scrunched his nose a little. "Hyung please." Kai's voice was now soft at a more desperate tone. "Baekhyun, please just come out there with us. It's Christmas Eve, and I want to spend it with you."

Baekhyun never really liked Christmas. He hated the snow. He hated the happiness and the children's joy and the caroles and the stories about Santa Claus. He hated it all.

"You'll be spending Christmas with me and everyone else." Baekhyun replied, really not in the mood to go out there. Kai sighed, still holding his arm.

"I don't care! You can't just sit in here all day while we're out having fun! I know you miss your actual family, hyung. We all do. But we're each other's family, setting nationality aside. Baekhyun, come out there and have fun with us." Kai continued to beg. Baekhyun was silent. He looked out of the window and watched the rest of them happily do a snowball fight.

The snow was perfect today, Baekhyun had to admit. It was Christmas Eve, after all. According to Kris, him and his family would usually have a snowball fight on Christmas Eve as a part of a small family tradition. It did look like fun, too.

"Alright." Baekhyun said, sprouting happiness in Kai. "Alright, tell them I'll be out in 5." Kai nodded and kissed Baekhyun's cheek before he ran outside.

"Guys! I convinced him to come out!" He shouted as he ran out the door. Baekhyun blinked, a bit startled, before he chuckled and softly caressed his cheek. He still felt the warmth of Kai's lips on his skin.

Baekhyun headed upstairs and slipped on a pair of black skinny-jeans with knee-high boots. Putting on a v-neck grey, cozy yet soft longsleeve shirt, Baekhyun grabbed his thick white winter jacket and zipped it up. Slipping on a pair of gloves, a scarf, and a hat, Baekhyun finished his wardrobe and walked outside. As soon as he closed the door and turned around, a snowball hit his chest. Baekhyun blinked in surprise and looked up, seeing  the other members looking at him with a smile.

"It's about time you showed up!" Luhan cheered, grunted slightly as Sehun tackled him before kissing his nose. Kris rolled his eyes and smiled softly at Baekhyun.

"You're on our  team. We're missing one. Kai, however, wanted to go against you." Kris said. Baekhyun's eyebrows raised and he glanced at Kai, who grinned shamelessly.

"Payback for you being stubborn." Kai replied. Baekhyun pouted and rubbed the snow off of his jacket as he walked towards his team.

"You threw the snowball at me?" Baekhyun said. Kai nodded with a grin. "Oh, you're going to get it alright!" Kai exclaimed as Baekhyun suddenly hurled a snowball at him, hitting him directly in the forehead. Kai blinked before he grinned and threw one back. Baekhyun ducked, grabbed two snowballs in the pile, before running to hide behind a tree. Baekhyun smiled as he watched the snowballs fly in the air, hitting a few people. Happy giggles and laughter began filling the air around them.

Kai grinned and saw an opening the branches. He snuck over to the tree and hit Baekhyun in the side of the head with the snowball. Baekhyun gasped and whirled around, yelling out his name. Kai laughed and ran off. 

"Get back here! Yah! Listen to your hyung!" Baekhyun shouted and ran after him. Kai swerved around Tao and exclaimed as he got tackled by Baekhyun. He landed on his back in the snow with a panting Baekhyun over him. Kai blinked up at his hyung before he grinned. He took Baekhyun by his arms and sat up, causing Baekhyun to straddle his hips and blink down at him in a confused way. A deep blush formed on Baekhyun's cheeks as Kai began leaning in. Blinking rapidly, he felt a pair of lips press against his nose.

"You look like rudolph." Kai said with a charming smile. "Got that red nose of yours. It's cute, actually." Baekhyun blinked before he puffed his cheeks out and stuffed two handfuls of snow into Kai's face.

'"Can it."

"Want some hot chocolate?" Suho asked with a smile. Baekhyun looked up and nodded. "There are some fresh cups in the livingroom. Tao and Kai are making them. You're welcome to go grab some, deer." Suho ruffled Baekhyun's hair before walking off to sit next to Lay. Baekhyun smiled and climbed out of his chair, walking into the livingroom. He noticed Kai putting a dab of whip-cream on Tao's nose, causing the Chinese boy to blink before giggling. A strange wave of jealousy hit Baekhyun but as Kai turned around, Baekhyun forced a smile on.

"Having fun?" Baekhyun said, walking further into the kitchen. Tao nodded with a smile.

"Yeobo," Kris called from the livingroom. "Come join me. I know you like cuddling." Tao beamed and grabbed two cups of hot chocolate. He bowed his head at Kai and Baekhyun before walking out of the livingroom. Kai chuckled and made a hand gesture for Baekhyun to join his side. Baekhyun got to Kai's side and watched him stir some hot chocolate mix into a steaming cup of water.

"I know you like yours with mini marshmellows." Kai said with a warm smile as he continued stirring. Baekhyun looked up and blinked. "I remembered. You'd always complain about the hot chocolate having no marshmellows, yet you'd be so happy when it would have mini ones in it."

"Ah," Baekhyun said, a little embarrassed. "W-Well, thanks for remembering." Kai smiled and looked up at him. "Can I have a little whip-cream, too?" Kai nodded and grabbed the can. "Gomawo."

"In all honesty," Kai said as he handed the cup to Baekhyun. "I'm happy I get to spend the holidays with you." Baekhyun blinked up at Kai as he took a soft sip of the hot liquid, a little whip-cream getting on his upper lip. Kai smiled and wiped it off with his thumb, causing Baekhyun to blush. "Being surrounded by the Christmas tree with my family was great, don't get me wrong. But, this," Kai took Baekhyun's hand and lead him to the doorway of the livingroom. Baekhyun looked at the rest of EXO, happily engrossed in a conversation around the fireplace. The tree was beside them in the corner of the room with a bunch (and I mean a bunch) of presents under it and on top of the sofa. "...this is better."

"Yeah..." Baekhyun said softly, gently squeezing Kai's hand. "I've never felt this warm before." Baekhyun looked up when he felt something touching the top of his head. Mistletoe. Kyungsoo thought it would be cute if there would be a mistletoe hanging in the livingroom doorway, since everyone there had someone they loved.

Kai smiled and put his cup down before taking Baekhyun's. Baekhyun blinked and watched Kai set the cup down beside his.

"It's Christmas Eve." Kai said as he took Baekhyun's hips in his hands and pulled him closer. Baekhyun's eyes slightly widened. "Everyone deserves happiness." Kai leaned in and pressed his lips to Baekhyun's, making Baekhyun's heart flutter. The kiss was innocent, almost delicate.

He was in love with the boy in front of him. He had been for a while. But finding true love on Christmas wasn't on his bucket list. To Baekhyun, love was silly and for children. But, seeing Kai for the first time made Baekhyun realize that anything can happen, even in the coldest weather.

Kai gently pulled away, only to look into Baekhyun's eyes. Baekhyun looked back into his before he wrapped his arms around his neck and pulled him in for another kiss. Kai closed his eyes and held Baekhyun to him, hugging his waist softly.

"Oh my gosh!" Kyungsoo suddenly exclaimed as he saw them in the doorway. "It worked! I can't believe it worked! Xiumin and Lay, you owe me 10 bucks!" Xiumin whined and pouted.

"You know," Baekhyun whispered as he gently pulled away from the kiss. "Christmas isn't such a bad holiday after all."
