“Wow, it’s so pretty!” the seven year old boy exclaimed as he raised his hand examining the thing on his left finger

“Isn’t it? Mom told me to take good care of that” another boy said

The smaller boy tilted his head “But why are you giving me this ring? Isn’t it bad?”

The taller giggled “No it’s not Xiao Lu, mom told me a secret” he winked

“What is it?” Little Xiao Lu scooted closer to his friend “Please tell me” he pleaded

“Of course!” the taller said “You see I have another one right here!” he showed the smaller boy his ring finger astonishing the smaller one

“That’s the same as mine!” he exclaimed

The taller smiled “It’s a pair said mom. She told me I should give this to the person whom I want to spend my life with”

“And that’s me?” Xiao Lu pointed at himself and the latter nodded

“Yes! Since I’m going somewhere far away, I don’t want to forget you. I promise we’ll meet again someday” he offered his pinky finger

“Promise?”
