"Mission No.2 : Couple Race

 

 Beside this mission card are the ropes you will need for this mission

 

 What you need to do is form 4 couples, the one remaining would be your referee. Tie these ropes on your ankles and you will begin your mission

 

 Scattered inside the forest are spears and buckets. The faster you find them the more possibility you have to win

 

 Every couple must catch 10 fishes and take out all the bone and place them inside the small bucket. If you has finished everything, climb on the raft that are also scattered along with the spears and buckets and row to the other side of the stream.

 

 The first couple to press the red button there is the winner. There will be rewards according to your ranking. Don't worry. I'm not gonna do anything too dangerous for you guys.

 -Um...guys...what are we gonna do ?

 

 Yuri asks, feeling a bit hopeless about the current situation.

 

 -It seems quite easy. But how are we going to make couples ?

 

 -Any idea maknae ?

 

 -We can just simply play rock paper scissors unnies

 

 The older girls blink repeatedly, questioning themselves to why haven't they thought of that sooner. Proud yet embarrassed to the youngest of the group, they quickly change the subject

 

 -Who will be the referee ?

 

 -Of course it's you Sooyoung. You can't even walk properly, how on earth are you going to catch fishes ? - Sunny quickly says

 

 -Oh okay. I'll be the referee then

 

 -Alright. Let's start making couples

 

 With Taeyeon's command, everyone reaches out their hand and starts the couple making game

 

 -Rock paper scissors !

 

 -Oh ! Taengoo and Sica !

 

 The 7 girls widen their mouth as they see the unexpected result while the 2 girls put on an unreadable expression on their faces

 

 -Okay...Taetae and Jessi are one couple. Let's continue

 

 Tiffany quickly changes the subject, not wanting the two eldest to feel uncomfortable. The rest reflexively follow along while the new couple just stand to the side quietly.

 

 The leader takes a quick peak at Jessica to see that the girl is wearing her usual expressionless face. Sighing quietly, Taeyeon just watches the girls playing the game

 

 -Alright ! Yoona, Yuri couple !

 

 The 2 twin hug each other in happiness, jumping around like Jessica and Tiffany at MAMA on 2011.

 

 -Dang it ! If I had either one of them I would won

 

 -Confident much Soonkyu ? Just wait. I'm one of the best athletic idols and also one of the best cooking idols

 

 -Ooh ~ let's see what you have dancing queen

 

 -Rock paper scissors !!

 Sunny pouts cutely, which surprisingly melts the raging Tiffany. Usually if Sunny does her aegyo, the members would freak out. Today is quite different I see.

 

 -Okay. That leaves Soonkyu and Hyoyeon couple !

 

 Sooyoung quickly steps out as an official MC. Noticing something, Yoona raises her hand

 

 -Do you guys ever notice that whenever we play games, Sooyoung unnie would be the MC ?

 

 -Oh yeah ! It's true. Whatever we play, whenever we play, Sooyoung would always be the MC - Tiffany agrees, clapping her hands

 

 -I guess that's your destiny Soo

 

 -Maybe. Let's get the game begin. Please give me the ropes and I will personally tie you guys up

 The group laugh as they see the two eldest give Yuri a chase along the stream.

 

 -Get back here you guys ! The sooner we finish the game the sooner we can eat

 -You're the same Yoona ah

 

 Yoona pouts, trying to tickle Sooyoung as a revenge but fails miserably as she sees Tiffany's glance. They're literally saying : "Sooyoung is sick, don't mess around". When Tiffany gets angry, she is very scary, so Yoona definitely doesn't want to risk her life just for revenge. She can always revenge later anyway, when Sooyoung is completely healed.

 

 -Unnies, after you take all the bones out remember to put the meat inside the jars. We can eat them later

 

 -Okay Juhyun. Let's quickly start the game

 

 Sunny squeals happily, her competitiveness just risen. With Taeyeon, Jessica and Yuri back inside the group, Sooyoung quickly yet carefully ties up everyone's ankle to their partner's

 

 -Sooyoung ah, loosen up a bit for me okay ? I'll roast you some extra marshmallows

 

 -Tempting but I'm a fair MC Hyoyeon ah. Just play your best alright

 

 The dancing machine sighs as her scheme to bribe Sooyoung hopelessly failed. Soon later, all 4 couples stand side by side, looking at the forest in front of them. The forest has several red arrows leading inside so they don't have to worry about being stuck inside and have no way out

 

 -On your mark, get set, go !!!

 

 With Sooyoung's shout, everyone speeds ahead. Because they didn't discuss on how they would run, the couple TaengSic soon land on the ground with a loud thud sound

 

 -Ow ! Yah Kim Taeyeon !

 

 -Sorry Sooyeon. Count 1,2,3 as we run okay ?

 

 But the two main vocalists soon stand up once again and quickly dash inside the forest while shouting 1, 2, 3.

 

 Left at the bank of the stream, Sooyoung takes the time to set up the battle field, which means getting all the cutting boards and the knives out of place. Neatly putting them in a perfect order, she squats down, waiting patiently for the members

 

 While inside the forest, Tiffany and Seohyun are having a hard time finding their own equipment

 

 -Juhyun ah, do you see anything ?

 -Let's go in deeper

 

 Tiffany quickly pulls Seohyun to the deeper side of the forest while still following the red arrow. After a while…

 

 -AH !!! The raft !

 

 Seohyun shouts as she dashes forward, temporarily forgetting about Tiffany's ankle tied to hers. The red head struggles to keep up with the long legged maknae but succeeds in getting to the  equipment they need anyway

 

 -I'll hold the bucket and the raft unnie. You take the spear

 

 -No way. I'm not gonna let my baby maknae do all the work. I'll take the spear and the bucket. You take the raft. And don't even think of making me soft with your pouty lips

 

 The maknae pouts more but obeys anyway. The two quickly dashes toward the bank, following the arrow exactly. But then, there was one couple that was already ahead of them

 

 -Okay, Yoona Yuri first to arrive !!

 

 Sooyoung shouts as she sees the YoonYul couple dashing toward their cutting board with their long legs. The two have always had one of the best teamwork among the group. It's even better in this game as they have similar heights. Their winning possibility is kind of high

 

 -Hurry Yuri unnie !!

 

 The tanned girl quickly drops all their stuff, not including the spear of course, and together they dash toward the clear water. Has already rolled up her pants to knee length, Yoona uses her hawk eye to find those swimming freely fishes

 

 -Gotcha !!

 

 The center stabs the spear straight into the clear water, hitting one fish at her first try.

 

 -ASSA !! Way to go Him Yoona !

 

 Yuri cheers as both of them climb on shore again to put their first fish inside their respective bucket. As soon as the creature was thrown into the water filled object, the twin continue their mission with a quick sprint back into the stream

 

 Not a minute later, the couple with the highest competitiveness combined in the group Sunny and Hyoyeon shows up.

 

 -Hyoyeon ah, you take the spear. I'll catch the fishes with my own hands

 

 -Seriously ?

 

 -Seriously. Now hurry up already. YoonYul have already gotten their 1st fish inside the bucket

 

 Nodding, Hyoyeon snatches the spear and runs into the water together with Sunny. Immediately after entering the unexpectedly warm water, Sunny's facial expression quickly changes. Her eyes are like shooting laser at the fishes

 

 2 seconds after entering, Sunny has caught her first fish and just casually throws it inside the basket. Sooyoung gasps in shock, looking at the basket then at Sunny, eyes blinking rapidly.

 

 -Dae dan ha da Sunny unnie

 

 Yoona mumbles as she temporarily zones out. Seeing her partner not concentrating on the game, Yuri harshly nudges the younger

 

 -Concentrate on the game Yoona ah

 

 -Sorry unnie. I'll do my best

 

 The younger then concentrates back on the river.

 

 -1 ! 2 ! 3 ! 1 ! 2 ! 3 !

 

 The last two couples finally return with everyone counting to match their footsteps.

 

 -Okay ! Tiffany Juhyun couple and Jessica Taeyeon couple have arrived !!

 

 Sooyoung shouts then comfortably sits back and relaxes, amused by the unusual scene in front of her.

 

 -I GOT ONE !!!

 

 Surprisingly, the couple that arrives the latest is the first ones to catch a fish. With her long arms and incredible strength, Seohyun easily grabs one fish and throws it on the short, unfortunately missing the bucket.

 

 Being the fair and straight MC, Sooyoung quickly picks up the creature and throws it mercilessly inside the basket.

 

 -Sooyeon ah, let's try another way

 

 Taeyeon suggests after watching the other couples do their mission. Jessica nods, agreeing to try a different method

 

 -Use the basket to catch the fishes. If they are in the basket, hurry and throw them inside the bucket

 

 -Okay

 

 Jessica nods then grabs the bucket and concentrates, her muscles tensing in anticipation.

 

 Suddenly, she feels the basket being snatched away from her. Looking to the side, Jessica smiles proudly in secret seeing Taeyeon has already succeeded

 

 -Okay !

 

 The leader calmly throws the fish inside the bucket and continues. Being a little weak on the eye and hand corporation side, Jessica just stands there and assists Taeyeon in throwing the fishes inside the bucket.

 

 After about 15 minutes, all the couples have reached their 9th fishes except for YoonYul as they are already separating the bones on shore.

 

 -ALRIGHT !!

 

 One by one, the rest jump on the shore and begin their work relaxingly. With their cooking ability, Hyoyeon and Taeyeon have the most advantage. There's a possibility that HyoSun couple and TaengSic couple might win

 

 For the SeoFany couple, these two rarely touch a knife so their process is about half of the others. Beside Tiffany who is forbidden to go into the kitchen, Seohyun rarely got to do any work since the unnies always do them for her

 

 -I'll do it Tiffany unnie. Please get the jar ready

 

 The red head nods then starts preparing firsthand, leaving Seohyun to separate the bones. and helping by putting the meat inside the jar

 

 -We're done !!

 

 The heck ?! TaengSic couple has already finished their work and is now taking their raft into the water. The other couples watch in shock as they watch the two eldest climbing on the raft and now rowing to the other side

 

 -Faster Hyoyeon ah. It's the last one

 

 Sunny encourages while putting the rest safely inside the jar. Hyoyeon concentrates more, becoming more skillful as she separates the last bone of the fish

 

 -Assa !!

 

 The shortest cheers then putting the bones and meat inside the jar while Hyoyeon throws the knife aside and throws the raft inside the water.  They latter jump on just a few second later, making them having a chance to close the gap.

 

 One by one every couple succeeded and all of them are in their respective raft.  

 

 Using her long arms, Seohyun rows her best, trying to take the lead. But unfortunately, due to her unusual competitiveness, she forgets about the not so long arms Tiffany. With the maknae's strength, the boat isn't balanced and it keeps moving in a circle.

 

 -Juhyun ah, stop !

 

 Seohyun quickly stops hearing her unnie's loud shout.

 

 -We're moving in circle. Don't use so much strength. I can't keep up with you

 

 -Ah nae unnie. I'm sorry

 

 The youngest bows politely then continues to row, this time with less strength. Finally the raft starts to move forward. But then, they had wasted so much time twirling in circle while the other couples are getting closer and closer to the other side

 

 -Oh my arms are gonna break. Ah !

 

 Jessica groans but keeps rowing. Taeyeon doesn't reply but just gives the latter a pat then returns to rowing.

 

 -1 ! 2 ! 1 ! 2 ! 1 ! 2 !

 

 Yoona and Yuri scream their lungs out as they use all of their strength to row. It's really a huge advantage if these 2 are in one team. They have similar heights, similar weights, similar body and also similar powers. Not to mention their competitiveness. It's like God made them as one person and automatically duplicate

 

 -ASSA !! HURRY !

 

 As expected, the YoonYul couple got off the raft first and immediately press the red button

 

 -OK ! YoonYul couple 1st place !!

 

 After Sooyoung's shout was heard, TaengSic couple arrive on shore and press the button

 

 -TaengSic couple 2nd place !!

 

 Surprised, Tiffany stops rowing with a zone out expression on her face, eventually causing the raft to over turn and causes both of them to fall in the water

 

 -Ah unnie !!

 

 The maknae shouts frustratingly while turning the raft back to its original form. Tiffany hangs her head in embarrassment and helps climbing back on the raft.

 

 Over on the other side, the TaengSic couple and YoonYul breath heavily as they watch the tense competition in front of them.

 

 -Hurry Hyoyeon ah ! We're almost there !!

 

 Sunny screams her lung out, gathering all her strength to row. The dancing queen immediately follow, using up all the strength she has left.

 

 -Woa ! This is actually more interesting than the World Cup - Yuri says as she leans her head on Yoona's shoulder, resting

 

 -Then should we cheer for them ?

 

 At Taeyeon's idea, all 4 girls gather around and shout their cheer for the remaining couples

 

 -Let's go Soshi let's go !! Let's go Soshi let's go !! Hwaiting !!!!

 

 Sooyoung also joins in, feeling extremely bored just sitting on the side.

 

 Finally, both rafts touch the shore. Being the most athletic, SunHyo couple jump on the shore and press the button before the long arm Seohyun can reach.

 

 -Alright ! Game over !! SunHyo couple 3rd place and SeoFany couple last place !!!

 

 Hyoyeon and Sunny jump around in joy, temporarily forgetting about their tied ankles, resulting them to fall painfully on the stone ground

 

 -Aigoo guys ! Are you okay ?

 

 The leader rushes in to help after untying the ropes from herself and Jessica. Yuri also rushes to help, knowing that Taeyeon is really bad with ropes. You can easily know from watching Hello Baby episode 11, where they had the New Year Athletic Championship.

 

 -Girls ! Aren't you forgetting someone ?

 

 -Ah that's right. Wait a bit Sooyoung unnie

 

 Yoona quickly stands up and grabs the raft and rows back to the other side where Sooyoung is waiting impatiently.

 

 -Seriously did you guys really forgot about me ?

 

 -Sorry unnie. Let's go

 

 The doe eye girl carries Sooyoung on the raft and slowly rows to the other side where the other girls are checking out the mission card
