This story follows the life of a trainee in the steps to becoming the heir to the throne of the late ballad singer princess, Seo In Young.

Seo Baek Na, currently 16, is the daughter of Seo In Young who recently passed away from depression (not in real life). Shortly after marrying her lover, Seo In Young became pregnant with a child. Although the two of them were in love with each other, the actor favored his career over family. He left Seo In Young with the child and continued with acting. After her mother passed away, Baek Na became depressed. She had no other family she could depend on, so she began to throw away her future career in the kpop world until an anonymous person saved her.

Right now, Seo Baek Na is in the process of becoming a ballad/pop star just like her mother, but wishes to surpass her status and become something better. Throughout the story, she will meet different members of ZE:A through problems in her trainee world. Having to deal with each member can either be a pain or a gain. Even though she's trying her best, depression always comes back to haunt her.

Bae Gung Ha, a fellow trainee from America, has fallen completely for Seo Baek Na, but will he be able to keep up with her as she raises to the top? An uncanny trait from her father, she completely ignores relationships. Gung Ha is a very rare and talented rapper who was planning to go solo, but is refused and gets stuck in a group instead.

Right now, Seo Baek Na is training in the most difficult situations, being bullied by her oppas and trying to stand up against the CEO to reach the top spot. Will she be able to complete her life decision or will she give it all up and lose her life to her creeping depression?
