Joel smirked as she got off of the plane. She saw Ha Na walk by still staring at her oddly but  she just smiled back at her

“Ha Na-yah" she called after the younger woman as she tried to scurry away with her friend. Joel then watched Ha Na tensed up not really wanting to turn while at the same time wanting nothing more. "Don't forget what i said, what is milk in spanish and french sweetheart?" she asked in English

Ha Na scurried away as Joel sighed praying that Ha Na didn't get hurt too much and that she wasn't to late

" you can't change the world"  Teukie-nim chastised softly Joel just rolled her eyes as she put the bluetooth in her ear

" i know i can't change the world, but that doesn't mean i can't change my world" Joel argued back finally feeling comfortable with her shield in place. Anyone who saw her now just saw a woman talking on her phone not a crazy woman or a weird student with a monologue.

"kah jah its time to go shopping" Joel squealed as she rushed out laughing as she heard teukie groan.

"you know when most girls say shopping, it’s usually associated with clothes and shoes you know?" Teukie teased as Joel surveyed some of the best models of knives for professional chefs

Joel just rolled her eyes and laughed " I know that Teukie but how will i open this store without any type of equipment? the girls will be arriving in about tomorrow and i need to have at least the store in order if not the house." She said referring to the store that she had bought that had an apartment upstairs that she was going to live in with her 2 best friends/employees.

"We should be focused on figuring out his-” Teukie started

" And what happens after I save him?" Joel asked interrupting her " I'll just be in a country without any foundation. what will i do after you're gone and i'm left alone in this country huh ahjumma?"

Joel knew that Teukie hated being called that but that was the only way to shut her up

"All i'm saying is that what if its too late when you finally do try to save him huh jo-jo?" Teukie snapped back saying Joel's hated nickname

"Okay we'll compromise i'll go to him tomorrow if you just let me do this. You've seen the process it's not going to take like a minute to win his trust. Teukie just trust me.”

When Joel was finished buying equipment she got a taxi to her store to check on the work that the repair men had done so far.

It felt amazing to see the former run down store actually looking like how she'd dreamed.

This was HER bakery.

The bakery she'd had in her mind since she was a little girl at the foster home with mama g. She couldn't help but want to cry. The pretty orange/ peach that was designed to make people hungry while also making them happy and at peace. The pretty designs on the walls and the word for milk in all languages along with the name of international delicacies( not in the pictures below). Joel sighed with happiness even as she feared to go upstairs to the apartment building.

She'd only had enough money to do all the repairs of the bakery and only the minimum repairs of the apartment so she and the girls had just planned to the cosmetic touches themselves.

"I can't sleep here though it's really dusty and very cramped" Joel said to Teukie as she almost tumbled over a stack of boxes as she walked around the spacious living room." I think i'll just sleep at the sauna till we clean up this place"

Joel pouted as she had to leave her baby. She could help but chuckle at she looked at the store amused that she was already so attached.

In fact she was so busy being attached that she didn't see the woman that was staring intently at her from across the street. Just then a couple walked past the woman with their baby. The baby took one look and broke out into wails. The couple looked around searching for the source of their child's discomfort but saw nothing yet the child saw all. then the woman walked over to the child and smiled ever so slightly and mummer

"It’s such a shame that children don't know the right time for their existence. Isn't that right little one?"

the little girl just looked at her and whimpered clinging on the her mother's shoulder as she tried to rock her into peace

" it would do you well to know your place" with her final words the woman drifted away leaving the child in tears and her parents worried about her discomfort.

HIIIII GUYS !!!! Don’t you just love the bakery? If i didn’t want to be a doctor i would totally buy this store and and live happily its too cute. So i’m sorry that the main characters haven’t met yet but i want to set up a good foundation before i let them meet. Its a pet peeve of mine when the main girl’s life revolves around the guy’s. It feels better when their world collides.
