“Minji!!” Jung-soo’s voice broke our trance and we quickly parted from each other. I couldn’t help but feel disappointed and could only wonder what would have happened.

 

“I should go,” I said pointing to Jung-soo. Sehun frowned as he looked to where Jung-soo was. He then turned to me.

 

“What time do you get off work?” He asked. This simple question was enough to send me off to cloud nine. Everything that had happened today was all too surreal and I was afraid I was dreaming.

 

If this is a dream then I never want to wake up...

 

“Hello~ Minji-ah?”

 

“Ah! oh right, sorry. I get off in approximately 3 hours.” I answered taking out my phone to check the time. Sehun, to my surprise, snatched my phone from my hands and fidgeted with it. He quickly returned it and then bid me farewell with his mischievous grin. I stood there foolishly staring at him not really knowing what had just happened. I felt my phone vibrate so I took it out and looked at the screen.

 

“I’ll wait for you! ^.^

 

I grinned and looked up at him. He met my gaze and made my heart flutter with his dashing smile. I nodded, consenting to his proposal and then quickly put my phone in Hyuna’s clutch before heading back to work.

I spent the rest of my time impatiently waiting for Miniji to get off work. I couldn’t help but get aggravated every time I saw her with a group of guys. Luhan and Bom both took notice of my sudden change in mood.

 

“Look Hyung! What are they trying to do to her?! Get her drunk?? Not on my watch!”

 

“Chill Sehun she’s just doing her job! Look she’s only taking a sip!” Luhan pointed out exasperated at my constant worrying.

 

“Wow Sehun I think this is the first time I’ve seen you obsess over a girl!” Bom teased nudging me in the ribs.

 

“She’s just really innocent! I have to protect her or who knows what would happen to her!” I explained trying to sound indifferent. Inside however, I was dying of jealousy. I could see how they guys around her looked at her. They practically ate her with their hungry eyes. Minji, on the other hand, seemed to be completely oblivious to their intentions and just smiled her innocent smile. But what really made me mad was the way that she danced with them. Her small body moved in ways that only a professional dancer’s body could. She immersed herself in the music to the point that she was one with the music and I could only watch from afar instead of dancing with her.

 

“Hyung!” I complained, finally having had enough. “You have to help me get Minji out of work asap! I can’t just sit here and watch those bastards look at her that way!”

 

“Sorry Sehun but I’m not allowed to get involved with the staff.” Luhan said grinning but I knew better. He could most definitely help me get Minji out of work, but I knew that the cost would be great. I then turned to Bom, my last hope, and pulled out my deadly weapon; my aegyo.

 

“Noona~ Please help me!! You said it, I really care about Minji and want to spend some time with her~” I said with my signature puppy face. I could tell Bom was being swayed. Her brow was furrowed and was in the form of a pout. She looked at me and nodded implying that she would help me. I grinned triumphantly and then waited for Luhan to succumb to his girlfriend.

 

“Luhan-ah~” Bom purred laying her head on his shoulder. “You know that I love you right?”

 

“No Bom,” Luhan said trying his best to sound authoritative. Bom took his hand into her’s and traced something on them. I could tell Luhan was being swayed by Bom, he could never resist her charms.

 

“This is the first thing I’ve asked you in two months, Dear.” Bom reminded him, calling him dear was always Bom’s trump card.

 

“Aishh! Fine I’ll help Sehun’s girlfriend get out of work!” Luhan grumbled as he got up. Bom also stood up and pecked Luhan on the lips.

 

“I love you Luhan~” She crooned and smiled blissfully. Luhan turned beet red and then shuffled awkwardly to where Minji’s boss was. I shot Bom a thankful gaze to which she answered by nodding.

 

“Go get your girl, Sehun-ah.” Bom said, shooing me over to where Minji was. I stood up and made my way over to where she stood, feigning confidence when on the inside, I was extremely nervous. As I drew nearer, Minji noticed my presence and her innocent brown eyes became large saucers as she met my gaze. My knees became weak just staring into her eyes; no other girl had ever made me this vulnerable. And then I realized that meeting Minji wasn’t just a coincidence; it was destiny, fate, whatever you want to call it.

I felt someone’s gaze on me and I turned to see Sehun approaching me, his charming smile making me catch my breath.

 

But why is he coming now? There’s no way three hours have passed!

 

“Minji are you alright?” Yongguk’s husky voice asked, interrupting me from my thoughts. I turned to my partner and was about to answer when I was interrupted by the man who made my heart race.

 

“She’s fine,” Sehun answered, slightly bumping into Yongguk and getting in between us. He turned to me, “Right?”

 

I checked my phone and saw that only an hour had passed. I looked back at Sehun and wondered what had made him interrupt me.

 

“What are you doing?” I asked sincerely as I stared into his mesmerizing eyes. He gave me his signature grin which made me even more confused but, at the same time, made my heart flutter.

 

 

“Minji!” I turned to the strict sound of Jung-soo’s voice and saw that he was next to a handsome man who looked way too familiar. As I approached my boss I noticed that next to him was a beautiful man with light brown hair and deer-like eyes.

 

 

“Ah~ You must be the girl,” He said offering me his hand to shake, which I did. “You’re Gong Minji right?” He asked flashing me a smile.I nodded slowly a little taken back by how he knew my name.

 

“Mr. Luhan, the son of Mr. Xi, has requested a leave for you, so you’re being given the rest of the day off.” Jungsoo informed me and I gave him a bewildered look.

 

Why would the son of the owner request me to leave???

 

 

“W-what do you mean??” I stuttered. “Am I being fired??”

 

 

“No! Not at all!” Luhan exclaimed. “You’re just getting the day off!”

 

I frowned. “This sounds kinda fishy….wh-what is it that you want from me?” I asked backing away from him. As I backed up, however, I bumped into someone. I turned around and was face-to-face with a grinning Sehun.

 

 

“Give me a shot, Gong Minji. I want to spend the rest of my night with you.”

 

I was at a loss for words. No one had done anything close to this in order to spend time with me. Euphoria filled my mind and soul.

 

“Okay,” I replied contently. “I’ll give you my night but you have to promise me one thing.”

 

He took a step closer to me and leaned in, “Anything.” He breathed, his breath tickling my face.

 

“Promise me that this will be the best night of my life.”

 

He pulled me into an embrace and whispered into my ear, “I promise.”

 

“Okay guys!” Luhan’s voice interrupted, “Let’s go!”

 

Sehun took me by my hand and we left the bar running and laughing; I didn’t look back.

So...what should we do now?”Luhan asked. We had been walking down the street for a while, not knowing where we were going. I slipped my arm in the crook of Sehun’s arm and leaned my head against his shoulder.

 

“What should we do?” I asked him softly. “I’ve never really done anything quite like this before.”

 

Before Sehun could answer me, Bom, Luhan’s beautiful red-headed girlfriend,’s stomach growled loudly. We all stood there in silence and listened to her stomach’s cries for food until Luhan burst out laughing. Sehun soon followed suit and I laughed too but went over to comfort a mortified Bom.

 

 

“It’s alright Bom-unnie,” I said as I patted her soft red hair. “How about we get something to eat?”

 

“YAH Xi Luhan do you want to break up with me!?” Bom yelled closing in on Luhan, who was still laughing. She began hitting him with her purse which eventually made him stop.

 

“Yah that hurts!! Stop Bom!!” He cried, trying to protect himself from his angry girlfriend’s attack.

 

 

“It’s not so funny now is it??” Bom cried out angrily as she hit him harder and harder. Luhan took her purse away from her and tried hugging Bom.

 

 

“I’m sorry babe but it was really funny!!” He said following an unhappy Bom. They bickered as they kept walking and I couldn’t help but find this all too amusing.

 

“They’re really suited for each other.” I commented and Sehun couldn’t help but agree. We walked down the street, until Bom stopped dead in her tracks.

 

 

“What is it Bom?” Luhan asked, confused by Bom’s strange behavior.

 

 

“Dukbokki,” Bom replied looking straight ahead at a street vendor. “I want to eat Dukbokki!!~”

 

We all directed our gaze to the ahumma selling some delicious smelling spicy rice cakes. We all made our way toward the dukbokki stand and ordered as much dukbokki as we could digest. Bom, in particular, was very happy afterwards.

 

 

“Let’s go!!!” Bom exclaimed, pulling Luhan with her. Sehun and I laughed at the red-head’s sudden burst of energy and quickly followed the gorgeous couple, our fingers interlaced together.

 

“Where do you want to go now?” Sehun asked.

 

 

“The Han river,” I answered without hesitating. “I rarely get to go there for fun and I heard it’s beautiful at night.”

 

Sehun nodded and informed Luhan and Bom of our plans, to which they agreed to.

 

 

“I’ve missed the Han river too, Minji-ah~” Bom crooned, wrapping her arm around my shoulder and pulling me in. “It’s one of the things I missed the most in Japan; that and my boyfriend of course.” She turned around and gave Luhan and dazzling smile, making him blush.

 

 

When we arrived to the Han river, the Bampo bridge was beautifully lit up. The vibrant lights of the city and bridge that reflected on the clear river water gave the whole scene a picturesque sort of vibe. Everything that had happened to me today seemed surreal but this definitely was the most memorable. Due to my hectic working schedule I had rarely taken time to enjoy myself at the Han river, but today I was given the chance to enjoy my life and love.

 

 

“It’s beautiful,” I breathed.

 

“Isn’t it?” Bom marveled.

 

I felt a pair of arms wrap themselves around my waist and looked up to Sehun’s perfectly structured face. I tilted my head back leaning it onto his chest, while he rocked me back and forth.

 

 

“Thank you,” I said, as we both stared across the river.

 

“Thank you for giving me your night.”

 

The four of us walked down the bike path blissfully, when we heard music. As we walked further we saw that the music was coming from a young man strumming on a guitar and singing. We joined his audience and listened to his soothing voice. After a couple of songs, he thanked the audience for the tips and began to pack up. The crowd dispersed and went on their respective way’s, leaving us and the musician alone. Sehun suddenly let go of my hand and approached the young musician. Luhan, Bom, and I exchanged puzzled looks. After exchanging some words, the musician took out his guitar once again and accepted what seemed to be a couple bills of won from Sehun. He sat down and began playing a familiar tune while Sehun took my hand and spun me around.

 

 

“What happened?” I asked truly puzzled.

 

“I want to dance with you again.” He admitted grinning and then pulled me into his arms. I turned scarlet and was flustered at first but my uncertainty soon melted away as I became absorbed in the music.

 

 

Sehun’s body flowed perfectly with mine to the melody of the song. My feet were so light that it felt as if we were floating above the ground. The whole world seemed to disappear and he was the only person I saw. My eyes gazed into his own brilliant one’s and his eyes met mine matching their intensity. We gradually got closer, closing the space between us. We both leaned in and our lips met. Our kiss was like soft cool rain on your skin. It made my skin shiver and took my breath away. I placed my hands around his neck and pulled him down, while he pulled me up making me stand on my tippy toes, immersing ourselves deeper into the kiss.

 

 

Out of the blue, we heard a loud bang. Our lips parted and we turned to where the sound was coming from. The sky became lit up with colorful bursts of fireworks. I turned to Sehun and gave him a surprised look.

 

“I didn’t plan this,” he admitted with a laugh. “But you gotta admit this is cool.”

 

 

I grinned and pulled him closer, resting my forehead on his own.

Minji’s head rested on my shoulder while we watched the fireworks display on a bench. Minji’s warm and soft hand was interlaced with mine and rested on my knee. Everything about this day was surreal to me. Meeting Minji seemed  to me like a once in a lifetime moment and I was glad that I had been given this opportunity.

 

 

“I’m glad I met you Gong Minji.” I said suddenly not hesitating one bit.

 

“I’m glad I met you too, Oh Sehun.” She replied almost instantaneously, to my joy. “I wish this day would never end.”

 

“It doesn’t have to,” I said turning to face her. “I want to be with you Minji, I like you a lot.”

 

Her eyes searched mine for some sort of an answer and then her face broke into a small sad smile.

 

 

“I like you too Sehun and this has been the best day of my life, but I really need to focus on my goal right now.”

 

“What is your goal, Minji?” I asked, my voice giving away my disappointment.

 

“I want to go to college, major in dance, and spend the rest of my life dancing.” Her eyes shimmered and her voice was full of passion and energy as she talked about dancing. Seeing her this way made me want to help her accomplish her goal, and it also made me want to try harder.

 

“But in order to get into a decent school I need to work hard. Besides school, I also need to help out my family back home. They’re not the most stable when it comes to money.”

 

“Let me help you Minji.” Her brown eyes widened in disbelief.

 

 

“How?”

 

 

“I saw a flyer at SIA offering half a scholarship for dance majors. All you have to do is prepare a routine and perform in front of a panel of judges, but the registration deadline is coming up-”

 

 

“I’ll do it!” She blurted out. “Whatever it is I’ll do it! I’ll do whatever it takes to get into college, especially if it’s SIA.”

 

 

“Great! We’ll go sign up tomorrow and if you want I could help you prepare, you know me being a major in dance too.”

 

Minji smiled and to my surprise threw her arms around my neck and hugged me. My heart began to beat faster, something that I had only heard of but never experienced.

 

“Thank you Sehun, I can honestly say you’re the best thing that has happened to me since I came here to Seoul.”

 

 

 

I was the happiest man in the world.

Luhan, Bom, Sehun, and I took a taxi back to the bar. Once we got there I went inside to change back into my clothes. I took off Hyuna’s dress, heels, and placed them back into her wardrobe. I changed back into my top, comfy jeans, black hoodie, and vans. I looked into Hyuna’s mirror and saw a plain looking girl staring back at me, her face however was smiling happily. She was happy.

 

I took my bag and left, assuring Jung-soo I would be coming to work later in the day. I walked out and found Sehun alone leaning against a different taxi than before. His handsome face was looking into the distance and I stood there like an idiot admiring his attractiveness. When he noticed my staring he smirked and walked toward me, my face was tomato red.

 

 

“Am I that handsome?” He teased, cocking an eyebrow.

 

“You wish,” I replied, rolling my eyes. He grinned at my response and pulled me into his arms. I leaned my head on his chest taking in his alluring scent.

 

“Let’s take you home.” He said, and kissed the top of my head. I nodded and he lead me into the taxi. After giving the driver my address, I rested my head against Sehun and fell asleep almost immediately.

 

“Minji wake up,” Sehun’s voice called me. “You’re home.”

 

I opened my eyes and got up and out of the taxi. I handed the taxi driver some money only to get rejected.

 

“Your boyfriend already paid.” He informed me and then drove away. I walked to where Sehun stood and scolded him for paying for the taxi.

 

“If you really want to pay me back,” He began. “How about a kiss goodbye?”

 

I frowned unhappy at the low price. “How about a kiss and lunch tomorrow?” I asked, determined to pay Sehun back.  

 

“Deal.” he replied with a smile and wrapped his arms around my waist. I stood on my tippy toes and he bent down, our lips meeting in the middle.
