Prologue

*In the mini-van*

Onew’s P.O.V

”So?”

I nervously touched my sleeve, staring back and forth between my own and the f(x) members. Key blankly stared out the window gritting his teeth, Jonghyun had an apologetic expression painted on his face, Minho looked to be in pure pain while Taemin tried his best, to distract his attention away from the extremely awkward situation.

Being in the same car after 3 years without any type of contact wasn’t exactly pleasant. Of course the ’None contact’ part was sorta because of our busy schedule and constant traveling. But to be honest, the reason for our distance towards the girls (and the other way around) was much more complicated.

”Do you know where we’re going?”

Victoria asked, not being as cold and mean looking like Krystal and Amber, who seemed to be shooting daggers with their eyes. I shook my head as an answer. A bit saddened, by how fast our conversation ended. I had so much to say, so many unanswered questions and thoughts. She gave a slight nod and turned her attention to Luna, giving her hand a small squeeze.

Poor Sunyoung.

I sent Jonghyun a silent glare,remembering what had happened between them. His expression became even more apologetic. I took another glance at Luna and noticed how hard she tried keeping her facade intact. Rage was boiling inside of her, it was obvious.

This car better get to our destination soon or some of us won’t make it!

”This is ridiculous!”

Oh god. We’re all gonna die!

I looked over at Krystal who finally broke the silence, her gaze was fixed on a certain person, giving him the deadly glare she was known for. Key finally broke his eyes away from the window, glaring at Krystal with irritation.

”Get a grip of yourself would you?”

Before she could snap back at him, Amber jumped in equally aggressive.

”You. Don’t. Speak!”

Key’s eyes got huge, but no words escaped his mouth. If you’d checked the dictionary at that precise moment, the definition of shock would probably have Key’s face next to it. Amber pried her eyes away from Key and started knocking on the driver’s window.

”What is it?”

The driver curiously asked.

”Where are you driving us? And how much longer will it take getting there?”

The tone in which she spoke to the driver, with was much softer and friendlier then the one she’d silenced everyone with some seconds ago. I missed seeing that side of her, the side that constantly joked around and had fun.

”I’m sorry i can’t give you any information. Please sit back and just relax, we’ll be there soon enough”

She gave a small nod and sat back, obviously not pleased.

”Unnie.”

Finally the person who so maturely, had been keeping to herself spoke. Amber and the other girls turned their attention to Sulli. She seemed to look rather puzzled and confused.

”Sajangnim isn’t taking his phone.”

”Mwo?”

Amber and Krystal said in union, I looked over at the guys and noticed Taemin wore the same confused expression.

”Our Sajangnim isn’t taking his phone either.”

”What? That’s ridiculous”

Key took out his own phone and tried to call, but with no further answer.

”Eh guys? I think you should look out the window...”

We all did as Jonghyun said and became extremely shocked with what we saw.

No buildings, no people in sight, not even a descant high-way! Only one thing seemed to be spottable, a huge Victorian-styled house close to a forest.

Is this some sick joke?!

 Slowly but surely we started getting nervous and it was safe to say, that panic started arising. And it didn’t help, when the car suddenly stopped.

“Get out of the car.”

The driver’s voice became rather intimidating, all of a sudden.

For a split second all anger and rage was forgotten and we all exchanged glances fear and confusion written all over our faces.

“What the hell do we do?”

“GET OUT OF THE CAR!”

Victoria turned around at the screaming driver, ready to attack.

“WHY? WHY SHOULD WE!”

“Get out of the car or..”

She clutched her knuckled fists in anger and faced him once again.

“Or what!?”

“Or THIS”

He pulled a gun and smiled.

“I’ll ask one more time. Get. Out. Of. The. Car.”

“I’m out!”

Victoria made a peace sign and jumped out of the car without any hesitation.

“Unnie!”

Sulli yelled in disbelief of how easily Victoria had obliged.

“What? I wanna live! Is that such a bad thing?”

Though it was a deadly and serious moment, The scene looked rather comical.

We all got out and before the driver drove off, he threw an envelope at us. I picked it up and looked at the others, they’d gathered around waiting for me to open it. When I finally did, my mind went blank.

“Hyung  what does it say?”

Taemin looked at me in confusion and fear. My throat went dry and my eyes started wandering the minor gathering before me.

“It says: Welcome.”

I showed them the one word on the paper and the arrow that pointing towards the house.
