Darkness enveloped the surroundings.

Deafening silence can be heard.

I can only feel emptiness.

There is nothing I can do.

                I can only sit there and watch while everyone is being taken away from me. I can’t feel anymore pain, just the emptiness. I was in my room, blood is splattered everywhere, I saw how the people I love were killed by something. I was the only one spared, it killed them, it killed my family.

Flashback…

                Our Halloween party just ended, everyone already left, it’s almost 12:45 midnight, someone knocked on our door, but when I opened it, there’s no one, a strong gust of wind hit me straight in the face, I decided to close the door. Suddenly, everything went off, it was dark and quiet, on the corner I saw a figure of a lady wearing a black dress, her head down, hair covering her face, floating in midair without any feet coming closer to me, when it was finally in front of me it looked up revealing her face covered with blood, she passed by me, she went to the kitchen to where my mom was.

“Sweetie, are you alright? Don’t be scared ok, we’re just here.”

“Mom, get out of there!”

“Sweety, relax~~~~.”

“MOM!!!!” I shouted when I saw the lady in black picked up a knife, but then I was too late it already stabbed my mom at her back. My father saw my mom lifeless, he thought I was going crazy, he thought I killed her.

“Krystal, what have you done?”

“Dad, it’s not me, can’t you see her!? There’s a lady wearing black, covered with blood, she killed mom not me!”

“Nonsense, No one’s here besides you, your brother is upstairs, I just came down, you’re the only one with your mom!”

“DAD!!!” I called when the lady went behind my father and snapped his neck that easily killed him too.

                I heard my brother’s footsteps from upstairs, the lady looked at the direction of the footsteps and I know what she’s thinking, I ran as fast as I can to my brother, when I reached him I pulled him with me to my closet;

“Jay, listen to me ok? You’re going to be fine, I’m here, nothing bad will happen ok?”

“Where’s mom and dad?” I don’t know how to answer his question, for a five year old telling him straight right now would make things worse, so instead I hugged him tight.

                We suddenly heard loud banging that made Jay shocked and cry, I hugged him tighter, I know I can’t do anything since the ghost can only be seen by me and not anyone else. I saw the lady through my closet door because the closet door was a two way mirror, she grabbed the door knob of the closet and opened the door, by the time she opened the door I already hid me and my brother behind the neatly stacked clothes in my closet, I was already shacking in fear, I knew for a fact that something is unusual with this house ever since we moved in two months ago. Suddenly, the pile of clothes, floated in midair revealing me and my brother, I hugged him closer to protect him but the lady still found a way to kill him with a knife. No one’s left now, it killed everyone, I curled up at the corner and cried the lady suddenly lifted my face;

“You will be spared my dear daughter, I have something planned for you.” She said before she disappeared.

End of flashback…

Her words kept ringing in my head, I know that mom and dad aren’t my real parents, but is that lady ghost my mom? I suddenly remembered something and went to my cabinet, I pulled out a picture of me and my real parents before they were murdered, I looked closely at my real mom, I got shocked because she was the same lady that killed my family. The murder case of my real parents was still not solved until now, it’s been more than 8 years, why come for me now? I suddenly noticed the background in the picture, it was the same house as where I am right now, the same place where I saw them being killed without mercy. The lady appeared again;

“mom?” I whispered with fear.

“You are the reason we’re killed.”

“I’ll make sure to kill everyone dear to you.”

“You’ll suffer the same way we did!”

“Happy Halloween my dear!” she smirked and entered my body, she possessed me, she took over my body, I am now moving without me knowing, doing things that are against my will. I ended up in the kitchen and picked up a knife, cutting my wrist with the blade, ending my life once and for all, she let go of me, before I lost consciousness, I heard her said;

“Why did you kill yourself my dear? Is it that hard to live?” she said with a mocking tone.

“I never thought getting you to kill yourself was this easy.”

If the main character died who told the story? And most importantly, it is told in a first person POV, How is that possible if Krystal died?  Look around~~~~~~~~~~~~
