"I saw what you did", I heard a soft voice said behind me. I froze knowing I was busted, my cover's been blown. I turned around and was surprised from what I saw. Eunjoo, my childhood friend, was standing in front of me and was staring at the teacup on table behind me, she didn't have that sweet smile on her face that I grew to love. She lifted her eyes to stare at me.

"It really was grandpa", she said, not a hint of hatred in her voice but I saw sadness in her eyes. I nodded and stared at my feet, I couldn't look at her, ashamed of what I was about to do. "I'm sorry, but I have to do this. For my mom and dad", I said sternly.                "I understand", she said and my eyes darted upwards to look at her expression, she was smiling but tears glistened in the corners of her eyes. I took a hesitant step towards her, afraid that she might run away, but she didn't and stayed where she was, her smile not going off of her face.                  "Don't worry, I won't tell him", she said and I stopped and look at her with confused eyes. "I won't tell anyone. It will be our secret".                  "You won't?" I asked and she nodded.                 "You've suffered for so long waiting for this, I remember what you told me oppa. About how you wanted to take revenge on the person who killed your parents. How can I stop you if this is the only way I can remove that hatred from your heart?" She asked with soft eyes staring at me. I was confused with her reaction, she's accepting everything calmly.                 "It's your own grandfather Eunjoo."                 "I know", she answered while staring at her feet. What did she say a while ago? 'It really was grandpa', it wasn't a question, she said it like she knew all along.                "I did some research too, you know." She said and smiled. "I just didn't have the heart to tell you that I know everything", she said this softly almost like a whisper but I heard it loud and clear. I was about to ask what she meant when her grandfather walked inside the room. The kindly old man smiled as soon as he saw his only granddaughter and his only living relative. He look so kind and vulnerable.                "Yixing, my boy. How are you?" He greeted me as soon as he saw me, I bowed politely even though I knew he didn't deserve it. He was the cause of my suffering. He was the reason my father's company  went bankrupt causing my father to kill himself. My mother fell into depression when he died, it wasn't long before she took her own life leaving me, their only son, alone and helpless on the streets. Hate wasn't enough to describe how I feel. I loathe him even though he trust me with his own life.                "Good afternoon Master, I've been well. Thank you very much", I answered with a smile plastered across my face.                "Hello grandfather", Eunjoo greeted him cheerfully. No trace of our conversation earlier. She was back to her own self, smiling that beautiful smile that I love so much, even though I hate her grandfather, her only family, I loved her. She was the reason I survived in this hell hole after her grandfather adopted me, not even knowing who I was. She was my light in this darkness.                I stared at the ground, preparing myself, waiting for Eunjoo to warn her grandfather of what I have done but it never came. She just sat in front of him and asked him how his day had gone and told him how beautiful the flowers in the garden were. She really wasn't telling him anything. She just sat there like it was an ordinary day, smiling at her grandfather.             I moved to the coffee table in front of them and served them tea. I was determined to proceed with my plan. It was now or never, it's my only chance since tomorrow the old man was leaving for Europe with his granddaughter and he's sending me to the States to continue studying Medicine.              I placed the poisoned cup in front of the frail old man. He said his thanks before turning to her beautiful granddaughter and answer her questions. I placed another cup in front of Eunjoo, I turned around and went back to the table in the corner to get the slices of cake.              "Yixing, why don't you join us?" The old man asked as he took the cup off the table and took a sip.             "Of c

Chapter 1: As much as I want to say that the girl was so stupid for drinking the poison cup! It was so sadly romantic with the whole she did it for Lay because he would have killed himself after killing the girl's grandfather! I kind of hope there is an alternative ending where lay gets eunjoo to the hospital and she returns to life, dramatically. About the whole grandfather thingy, I think he should go on a guilty trip you know suffer from causing Lay some problems as an aftermath..anyway good job on the oneshot, authornim!!
