The sun set slowly behind the tall city buildings and people became quiet as the headed home for dinner. I quietly sipped my coffee, my fifth cup since arriving earlier that afternoon. The waitress came by and took my now empty cup, setting it on the tray and smiling warmly at me. "Would you like another cup, dear?"

     I shook my head and smiled. "I'll be heading home," I stood and handed her a tip. "I'll be here tomorrow, though."

     She frowned softly, worry in her eyes. "Why do you wait here if you know he won't come?"

     I smiled softly and ran my fingers over the smooth surface of the table and hummed softly. "He's always here, at this table, waiting for me to show up."

     "Hun, this isn't healthy." She put her hand on my shoulder and motioned for me to sit back down. I sat down with her across from me. "My shift just ended, tell me about him."

     I looked down and smiled softly, curling my fingers slightly then extending them.

     "Do you need anything?"

     "A coffee, please."

     I sat in the coffee shop, close to the window so I could view the setting sun. I tapped my fingers on the table quietly and sighed, waiting for any sign of a waiter or waitress. I groaned after a few minutes and stood up, hanging my bag over my shoulder and walking towards the exit.

     "Oh! Sir!" A young man came from the back room and ran to me. "Do you want to order?" He wore a shy smile and pulled a notepad from his dark red apron.

     "I did, but I was kept waiting."

     "I'm so sorry, sir," he bowed. "It's slow after lunch, so we thought no one would stop in." He smiled softly. "I'll pay for your coffee." He gestured to a table and ran off to fetch a cup. I took a seat at my table and waited quietly for him to return. "Here you go," he appeared next to me and set the steaming cup in front of me, a smile still gracing his lips. "Sorry again for the long wait." He bowed once more and took his place behind the counter.

     My eyes watched him closely as I sipped at the hot liquid, ignoring the burning sensation on my lips and tongue. He quietly cleaned the counter and moved his lips in sync with the song that quietly played throughout the shop. I smiled at his movements and finished my coffee before walking to the counter and setting the cup on the top. "Thank you," I smiled and placed a twenty dollar bill on the counter.

     He looked at the bill and smiled. "It was on me," he passed the money back.

     "It's a tip." I said softly, folding the bill and bending over the counter to slip it into his apron pocket. "Thank you." I bowed and left the shop, my heart almost beating out of my chest.

     The young waitress smiled and took my now empty cup. "So, it was love at first sight?"

     I chuckled. "Not exactly, but I was interested." I looked outside and sighed. "I should get going." I smiled at the waitress and bowed. "I'll be here tomorrow if you want to continue." She nodded softly and smiled.

     "I'd love to." She stood as well. "We'll probably be slow tomorrow." I nodded and slipped a twenty into the cup. "Thank you, Daehyun," she smiled. I smiled and bowed before leaving the shop, the waitress locking the doors behind me.

     I stuffed my hands in my pockets and looked up at the starry sky. "You're up there, right?" I looked at different stars. "You're watching over me from up high. Which star are you?" A tear escaped and rolled down my cheek, falling onto the icy sidewalk. "Do you miss me as much as I miss you?"A warm wind pushed past me, bringing a sad smiled from me. "I love you, please wait for me." I looked down and walked home, tears streaming down my cheeks.
