Fading Souls
Description
Hyukjae's been an angel for a while now and is use to their world, but when he sees a fading soul for the first time, he can't help but be curious. The question is whether that curiosity is worth the consequenses or not.
A/N: Honestly, the foreword/prologue does a much better job at explaining the story. so I suggest reading that. This is a multi-shot fic; I'm guessing between 2-4 chapters. For those of you who subscribed to "The A Team" I deeply apologize. I lost inspiration. However, I was encouraged to write this, and it is also based, losely, off the same song. This story is dedicated to two friends, you know who you are, so enjoy ^^ Also, I'm entering this story into the eunhae desires writing competition:
Warning: Character death(s). This isn't meant to be a happy story. Also, I do proofread but sometimes at it.
Disclaimer: I don't own the characters.
Foreword
Prologue:
Hyukjae hates it.
He watches Donghae miss another chance to act. He watches Donghae sleep with someone just because Donghae needs some quick cash. Hyukjae watches Donghae chase after a dream that isn't ending the way it's supposed to and is crushing Donghae in the process.
Hyukjae knows better than anyone else though: life doesn't often do what it is "supposed to."
He has become accustomed to the life of an angel. It's his job to watch some people live, while others die. Everyone dies, but some people, who were referred to by the angles as "fading souls," are born with the purpose of dying. Donghae was one of those people.
Hyukjae wasn't sure how much longer he could watch that though. It wasn't specifically his job to watch Donghae die anyway; he had the option of walking away. Hyukjae shouldn't have even given Donghae his attention in the first place.
