The tv flickered on and off as the rain outside pounded against my window. I slightly jumped when my phone suddenly rang. I saw it was ____ and quickly answered.
"hey baby"
The sound of her crying was all that answered me.
I shot up from my couch, worried as hell.
"Baby what’s wrong? Why are you crying?!"
Her sobs were interrupted with words as she answered.
"everyone…is fighting"
My heart broke completely. Her and her family had been fighting a lot lately, and I just couldn’t stand to see her cry all the time. This time was particularly worse, as I could tell by her sobs.
"what happened?" you could hear the heartbreak in my voice.
"I don’t…just..everything. They’re fighting with me. I’m fighting with them. They’re fighting with each other. I just can’t handle it anymore!" her sobs became louder, crushing my heart further.
"I’m coming to get you. It’s raining, so bring a jacket."
"B-Byunghee…I…I can’t just leave."
"You don’t need to be in that house anymore, I’m coming to get you."
She paused for a moment then her crying calmed down a little.
"ok…thank you oppa."
I smiled. "it’s no problem. I love you and I’ll see you in a few minutes." She said she loved me too and hung up.
