this is where façades are painted, psychedelic murals on dense, mysterious walls of malice and pretentiousness. this is where silken-gloved hands deliberate upon which lives to shatter into imperceptible shards and which to preserve in the brine of high-class society. this is where there is (almost) always enough velveteen powder to obscure false perfection's hairline fractures. and when there isn't...well, none of them want to think about it. that is, except for one. the highest one of them all.

This is my first fanfiction, people! So wish me luck :)

I thought of a historical/Joseon era AU for my first fic because of the lyrics to EXO-K's "MAMA". The parts about social inequality and the "Royal Highness" bit stimulated my curiosity a lot, so I decided that I might be able to write a fanfic about the Joseon era, starring Krystal and Kai as the leads (kaistal is my OTP, apparently).

Now now now, idk which one should I pick between Suho and Chen. T.T that's hard, man. And the fluff omg djgsjvsgfsdsvx why you my heart is gonna explode and currently the last paragraph is still bouncing in my brain. Omg really.
